Stop in for a cup of coffee

OK who knows 99 5.9 engines? Just curious what to look out for. Found a full set of FSM's for it and on order. Have to figure out what break lines to get tons of different ones for that year. Just get it started and reverse some "mods" like a amp in the rear seat floor etc. Sure there will be other surprises also.

I got my first shot a couple weeks ago, july i get the top-up.
Wife has hers booked.
Cases have gone from 50 to 500 over the last month.

Ouch! The shots seem to be working but there is a false sense of security with the "herd immunity" at least here. I think that is a big player.

Morning pin cushions. No shot here had it so bad don't need one according to the doctor.

I’m assuming you mean 5.9 magnum right?

Get an ignition coil. They are a common failure.
There is a steel tube on the front of the engine, heater connection i think. They rust out and leak.
If water pump hasnt been replaced, then thats something else to expect. Crank sensors fail occasionally. Passenger side back of engine, in bellhousing.
Fuel pump is a returnless system, pressure regulator is built into pump. No fuel filter if i recall, also in fuel pump.

earlier models had intake manifold leaks, causing lean issues, pulling air from crankcase.

Here’s the thing. My county has the highest vaccination rate in the state. We have the highest percentage of the population with the vaccine fully vaccinated in the state, almost 68 percent of our county has received both doses and another 15 percent awaiting round two.
Yet we have the highest infection rate in the state as well. Almost 2:1 what the state average is. The hospitalization rate is the same as the county with the lowest lowest vaccination rate.

Not really sure what to make of it

A I know is it ran last fall to move it, needs a water pump. Anything can happen sitting for years though.

My question is they are talking about booster shots when does the initial round wear off? Do they know?

Well the landscape lady came by to show us her design. The new house had about zero landscape. It though, has trees, lots of trees, 125 trees planted 25 years ago, with no obvious pattern or purpose. A lot of those trees will come out starting the day we take possession.
Now this gal has done some work for us before and we like her ideas. Cheryl had told her what she was looking for. The place needed a couple small retaining walls and some steps, and we told her to use limestone. It's Kansas and limestone is plentiful.
She went through explaining all she had done and Cheryl is just smiling and loving it all. The gal kept telling us we had a blank canvas to work with and how nice it was going to look, bla, bla, bla... She hands me the estimate 63K. I looked at it and Cheryl says "oh that doesn't scare us" WTF might be a blank canvas, but we ain't painting a dam Picasso here. Needless to say it will look nice when we are done, but not that nice. UGH the joy of moving!!

While its on hoist, i would remove box mounting bolts, and anti-sieze them. Did a fuel pump on one, lifting the box off was a game changer. Some guys cut a hole in the bed floor. Had one years ago, i think they used an axe...

My daycare lady, her husband works for one of the labs making the Moderna. They found that it’s only at its peak efficiency for about 6 months. Pfizer’s is a little bit better at 7 months. After that, according him, the efficiency drops off slowly but exponentially to where it’s like the flu shot. Within 8-9 months, the effectiveness is down to a point that won’t help you much.
Which, I think is why this county is seeing such cases still. I mean they started vaccinations in late December, it’s now May. We’re starting that to hit that edge before efficiency drops

I put a couple pumps in my Dakota's. I removed the box bolts on the drivers side and the gas fill hose and loosened the passenger side ones. A 4x4 and a floor jack tipped the box far enough to get the pump in and out.
