Someone to bid to drive the price up

Someone to bid that's not buying. Common practice.

Oh, that wasn’t the problem. Weather was a huge factor but all the big dollar items went for above appraised value. The problem was I tried to buy two of the tractors back but there was only one guy bidding on them. A dealer. He drove them up to way above even retail high end values before I finally said screw it.

Ok that's different.
It sounded like equipment went to cheap..
Estate lawyer, auction house had a good day then.

Not a bad day. Put down around 200 more bricks in the driveway. Then the rain came.
Only have about another 200 bricks here in the pile. Need around 600 more.
Guess I have a trip into the city Monday to grab more.

Small Party here last night. Who says women can't drink ?
3 cases of beer. A case in VN is 24 beers...

Ehh the house hood stuff went for pennies on the dollar of the appraisal prices. A few items went for more. I did manage to get a couple of my grandfather’s guns.

Well, it sucks you didn't get them, but that's not like a shill driving up the price. He has to pay that for them. When a dealer does that it probably means they are worth more. Where did the 'appraised value' come from?

3 different third party appraisers. One of which was John Deere themselves.

but I’m just gonna do what my grandfather would do, say screw it and take that money and buy better and newer. For what we would have had to pay, it was reaching the point a brand new tractor could be purchased.

how 'special' were they in terms of availability. Like are they hard to find models? Like in rare stamps and other collectibles estimated values can be wrong because they don't come to market often and no current sales are there to compare to.

Sometimes, older models are better models. Built better, more desirable....

Well, they caught the guy who killed Victor. Dumb *** was trying to drive Victors stolen car south over the boarder... Don't know if he did it, but he was in Victors car.....
