So after installing my crank and rear main seal, about to put the oil pan on, I see that rubber L that sticks out, honestly have done 3 slant six oil pans gaskets and they never had that tab always was cut off on both my previous motors just had a thick dab of silicon and never had a leak on any of them.
Do you guys leave it seems like it would just case issues with slipping out when torqued. What way do you guys prefer? I see how dutra explains to do it but I feel like that a little too much to do when you can just add glue there instead.
