Not everyone that attends swap meets are creeps and scum bags, you have a lot to learn about people. Guess you feel the same about folks who go to gun shows too.

That's not what he said at all. There's a big difference between "all of the creeps and scum bags come out to those events" and "everyone that attends swap meets are creeps and scum bags." He said the former, not the latter.

I took it wrong. SORRY guys.

Thieves are opportunist. They see an absolute mob of people and kaos... they see opportunity.

Reduce their opportunity, reduce your chance of getting stuff stolen.

Also, I don't pile multiple items in a box. You've got people rifling through boxes all over your spot. Too much to watch. Too much of an opportunity for bad things. And if you are holding a part for someone, keep that locked in your truck.

i like road kill and road kill garage it's better than 99 per cent of the other **** we get here .

I prefer bitchin rides, iron resurrection, Texas metal, now there's real knowledge about how to build cars and trucks. Those guys put road kill to shame

road kill isn't about all the shiny **** and big buck builds by some preps , it's about making a piece of **** driveable and bag pruning the **** out of it hardly can be compared ..

I'd be afraid to drive some of the patched up cars that I've seen on there

Never heard of it. I don't mind guy's doing budget build ups, it's when they patch stuff together and I've seen some sloppy work on road kill

it's not supposed to be pretty it's two guys that get along with no drama having fun and they do have some nice builds like the coupe that run 8's on the first time out . anyways we all like different things .

This is true. And I thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions, this helps out our hobby

What I would really like to see is a show on how to build a car on a reasonable budget. One that doesn't use high dollar cylinder heads. I guess that's why I've always liked the 5.0 mustang because they responsed so well with the littlest improvements and they are, were very affordable in their day. Mopar didn't have a thing to compete with the mustang of the 80's and now they are going to stop building the hemi.

Don't be a knob. I've been to plenty of swapmeets and 'yard sales'.

And stop trying to turn another good thread political with your stupid comments.

Vice grip garage is probably the best of the "real everyday guy" messing with cars content.

That stupid monkey Avery from Rust Valley Restorations needs a bullet. Destroys everything he touches. :realcrazy:

I watch very little of the internet car shows.. Got better stuff to do with my time... How does that relate to Frieberger getting his stuff stolen... Cause you don't like Roadkill stealing his stuff is ok? No!! Thieves suck...

Years ago a thief came through my industrial complex... Got run out of a few shops... Got to my shop I was working in the back & didn't hear him open the door... Which tells ya he was being sneaky cause that door wasn't easy to open quietly... I didn't hear him but my Belgian Malinios sure did.. Baron didn't touch him but he sure got everyones attention... I had people from units all around coming to see what the commotion was...

You'd think the thief would take that opportunity to either make a scene about my dog or disappear...

I thought he disappeared, turns out while everyone was distracted he slipped into the office across the way & stole the cash box...

Thieves like distracted people... Whether they caused the distraction or it occurred due to some other means...

If you watch the Roadkill shows and think that they intend to build comfortable and fully functional daily driver cars, you just don't get it at all.
You are not their target audience by any measure.
They aim to find ignored, neglected and discarded cars and get them running just to have fun with them.
I think that is great and a LOT of fun.
