Trust you are doing well
Decently. Thanks. Jury duty last week right in the middle of the spell of nice weather.
Was working on this

Contractor and hus guys tried to build the porch floor like a deck, sort of. Got it most sorted it and now waiting on another stretch of good days to remove and reinstall the T&G. That will go easier with the siding removed - its not installed right either. So I'm figuring 4-5 days.

Always more of a challenge to retro/repair.

Yea Its just annoying when its the new work that wasn't done right/thought out.
I'm prob go to the state range tommorrow, and just a tarp over the flooring to keep it protected from the next rain storm. I need to try out some new things and there's no point in starting something that cant get finished in time.

Flashing is something that seems so simple but a corner that gets cut by so many contractors. Caused me a bunch of work over probably $3.00 worth of materials

You should see the way the cheat on flashing here. There's one method called Philadelphia flashing - its a pretty sorry substitute - its just another caulking technique that fails. sigh.

Worst are the 'roofers' who rip off the lead flashing that was in the mortar joints... ugh.

Actually the fall project was to take the stucco off the 3rd floor back wall and repoint and reflash.

Well, didnt get done. Brakes to finish, top off oil and diagnose inop power seat. Tomorrow.
Been snowing on and off through the day, did see the sun for a while.
same here snow on and off and I didn't get anything done today.

Here's what poor flashing creates (my brother's house before and after repair)

We bought third row tickets last night to see the band Foreigner playing here locally next May. It's their farewell tour.
A majority of the original band still play. One of my favorites saw them 40 years ago in Kansas City.
