Last time I was in Chicago I was driving semi and got off the freeway on the wrong exit I tried to turn around and called the police for assistance and they didn't help at all. I ended up under a bridge that should have been tall enough but caught a bolt that held the bridge together and ripped a hole in my trailer roof about 6 feet long and just a few inches wide. Jumped out of the truck and climbed the ladder on the trailer as I was kinda pinned there and some guy came by and jumped in the truck and started stealing things out of my truck. I was yelling at him as I was coming off the ladder and a guy and his wife was walking by and grabbed the guy steeling my stuff and and kicked him away. The good guy and his wife told me next time you come in this part of Chicago and someone gets in your truck just stand back and let them go or you could be shot. Still a long story after that but I'm still alive and safe and never been to Chicago again.
A couple weeks ago we went away for the weekend. Never locked our door. Lol, shop was locked though…
Same here and I still have a hard time thinking people out there would steal from someone. I could never do that and like you I'm sure are the same do the best you can to do the right thing.
I wanted and needed some Teflon tape to repair a leaking hand hose in one of the bathrooms. But I didn't have any. Today I found some that they used to help seal a bottle of chemicals for the pool. Algaside bottle. So I saved all of it. And I only need a little bit to do this job. It's amazing what you can find if you just look around a little bit. Lol
Jeez, you guys make it sound like there's alot of crime in Chicago....

Wow. Watching stuff about the city, they are letting developers split 50 foot lots in half to build 2 houses. When i grew up in wpg, lots were 75 to 100 feet. Ours was 100 by 180.

Good Morning All! Driving to Michigan a long time ago pulled off in Chicago for gas. Wife took one look at the bullet proof glass in the gas station, called me some choice names for stopping there, was the middle of the night. I think she's overreacting until I look in my side view mirror, dude with a lead pipe is walking up to the back of my truck. I just pulled out and got back on the freeway, didn't tell her about what I saw for a few miles lol!
Yesterday I saw something that made me shake my head, a new housing development built right next to a sewage treatment plant, boy the wind direction must have to be just right to show those new houses lol!
I was surprised my daughter said in today's world most people over 60 they no longer scope a knee just replace it.
I felt after a couple weeks all I had was a bad strain. It will take a while for it to totally heal. I don't give it a lot of rest.
Back to the Firebird today. Ball joints, control arm bushings.will knock out the ball joints before i pull the arms. Way easier. Air hammer going to get a workout.
