Stop in for a cup of coffee

Pretty bad yesterday or did it miss ya? I drove to snow at work yesterday, then came back down to dry pavement, just the way I like it lol!
It ended up being a hard rain. Hardly even any thunder. I'll take it. lol

Going to replace an aluminum box side on a new Ford pick up today.
Kinda different a few pop rivets and a bunch of glue but gravy work. Thanks Toolman for telling me about the special Torx to take the bolts out of the box makes removing the box off the frame so much easier.

Think i broke 4 bits trying to remove one truck bed. Think the aluminnium ones come apart much easier.

I warrantied handfuls of broken Torx bits until someone figured it out. Torx and Torx+ look the same but they aren't. Like GM striker bolt Torx. T47 fits perfect. T45 is too loose and T50 is too big. The paint was too thick. I think GM dipped the bolts instead of spraying.

Ground the heads off lots of Ford box bolts and you could hear my profanity through the whole shop when I broke another torx bit. lol

Gonna give you this smiley for the myths discussion you started.

Pretty much knew Geoff was going to respond as he did this morning.
I wouldn't call it a trap since he set himself up.

Ray posted an article with a title something like vacuum advance myths.
Now if that wasn't bait for certain folks...

I looked at the conversation a couple days ago and added a couple of posts.
Could pretty much predict how it was going to develop.
Posting the responses is just a matter of timing, so to speak.

TMM what did you sell the most of?
Oh wow. Tough call. Probably locking pliers sets. (offshore made Vice Grips) 10 pieces in a kit bag. They are $200 now. They were $100 back then. They would run them on promo and I might sell 100+ sets in a month.
