This belonged to an acquaintance from the North Georgia Mopar club Since they have been coming to the Gray area to try to get some of the middle Georgia Mopar people to get together. The owner we knew has since passed away and it belongs to a new owner we have not met yet, but would have, as he was on his way to the Gray meet today after church. Someone in a newer Lincoln pulled out right in front of him while he was going 50-55 MPH and he had nowhere to go. Yes, it's the real deal and yes it was very nice. Such a shame. The car is fixable, but a long road is ahead of him. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. Those are some badass hood pins.

Thank goodness they are OK. Wow, they are lucky, but it looks like he threw some angle into the hit which likely helped them out. The car took it like it had a crumple zone. That will be a bit of work, but well worth it.

I'm glad the occupants are all right, I hope if the Lincoln owner was at fault that they had some really good insurance. Unfortunately the Cuda owner is in for a long up hill battle to get the car back to it's original shape.

The Lincoln was "the contributing factor" as they say nowadays. Gotta soften things up for all the snowflakes, dontchya know?

Woah, glad to hear folks are on the mend!

With that amount of damage won’t that AAR have a salvage title (or similar) linked to its VIN for the rest of time after it’s fixed?

In Georgia, if a car is a total and the owner wants to fix it, you can still have a regular title, BUT you have to get the GBI to do an inspection on the car to make sure it was done right. Without that though, yes, he may have to have a salvage title. I cannot see him not having it inspected, because certainly he wants it fixed right.

That’s a good thing about the GBI, this way down the road there are no issue with title.

I’m sorry to hear about the accident. We take a chance every time we drive or walk or bicycles on a road. Idiots out there. Glad to see they were being watched over from above.
I’m surprised that the color scheme did not stop the occurrence from happening. Here in CT that lime green is on everyone’s shirts that work road construction. The car can be rebuilt. I’m just glad they were okay.

I think that car is hurt worse than it looks , bent clear back to the trans crossmember , or more...

If you can't see a screaming yellow vehicle you should not be on the road, glad everyone was OK...

I bought a bright red GTI to avoid having a car that's the same color as the road like most are these days. Did it help? Heck no. I think the bright color causes people to pull out in front of me.

I had a guy back out of a parking space, across a traffic aisle, and right into it. I was sitting in it listening to the stereo. By the time I realized what was about to happen it was too late to blow the horn but I did anyway.

The moral of the story - there is no sure-fire protection against an idiot.

I'm glad that the folks are ok. That was a helluva lick! Hopefully, it will straighten out. Good thing is, the AMD installation center is not far away. It most definitely needs to be on a jig to be done right.

I wish the best for this gentleman and his AAR. But when it comes to wearing bright yellow when working out on the roads, there is so much of this color out there now that it has become a neutral color. Everybody and their brother wears it and nobody pays attention to it any more. They should change the bright color up every few years to keep people on their toes. I know because I am retired from a highway dept. and nobody saw us out on the roads, people didn't even see our big red plow trucks coming down the road.

To let yall know, the car AIN'T yellow. It's sublime green. The sun was shining on the car and it kinda throws the color off. Trust me, I've stood right next to it before. It's green as a gord.

Glad everyone is okay, when it gets hit that hard that the cowling is impacted its often done.

:(

If it's a numbers matching engine and trans it is definitely worth the effort to bring it back. There have been cars in worst condition fixed to where you couldn't tell it had been done.
My 73 Cuda will be lucky to have much more than the Dutchman panel, one door, LH rocker, and the trunk lid as original panels when I'm done. Everything from the firewall to the bumper on the bottom of the car is new metal, as well as the roof skin and quarters, due to getting T-boned and repaired incorrectly and rust.

Oh man that sucks! Glad that nobody was seriously injured, somewhat surprised too, given the extent of the damage. I hope the owner is able to get it fully repaired and inspected, damn shame.
One of my cousins had an AAR Cuda back in the 70's, his was orange with an automatic transmission.
