If it's a numbers car, that would be well worth fixing I would think. My car will have a lot more new sheetmetal in it than that when done and if I had to, I should be able to get out what I have in it. But I think they'll be burying me in it if my kids don't want it.

Originally 383 mag car with 440-6 ? 70k seems optimistic for one that needs that much body work plus any hack work that previous owner may have done .

$44,000 repair estimate. I call BS there.
So 70k + 44k in repairs ? Is a 70 Cuda clone worth th much ? A friend has a real 70 440-6 shaker in plum crazy . Had it since the early 80s . Rear louvre car as well !

That's only 30 US, do the math for hours and parts. Front K frame or at least a control arm, plus the body work.
K frames and suspension parts aren't that expensive. We can't see the front suspension damage but even with some time on a frame machine, $30,000 is a stretch.

That’s assuming the oil pan , trany , driveshaft and rear end housing weren’t damaged in the wreck . I worked for a Subaru dealer long ago and an old couple ran over an 8” rock .
No visible body damage but it took out the entire drivetrain !

I thought this Cuda just had 1/4 panel and frame damage . Didn’t realize it had run over something? Possible the ditch it went thru after the initial collision.

My first thought is that it was this car, but it isn't
