Someone here told me that you could run big block hipo exhaust b-body manifolds on an a-body. If any has info, pics, advice, please post your info. Have a friend with a 1973 Dart and wants to swap a big block in it. He has a spool v8 k-member, power steering and power disc, no a/c. He has a set of 1967 manifolds already, but note sure which other ones would work.

B-Body HP Manifolds with pics for B and R/B, and column mods.
B engine is a cleaner fit, R/B is tighter and will also require blower motor modifications to clear the p. side valve cover. Several good writeups on different blower mods in the articles section.
D. side manifold is darn close to the master cylinder with an R/B, may want to consider the hemi-type offset cylinder mount.
Tall valve covers can also cause interference at blower motor and master.

Only on a low deck, but some mods are still required. It's not difficult. I believe the C body HP manifolds are a better fit, at least on the driver's side. They have to be milled at the head mounting face so the manifold outlet is a little closer to the block. The passenger side drops in.

That mentions an RB block too. I'd have to see it to believe it in an early A. I don't think they will fit.

My apologies...I THOUGHT I saw "Early A body" in your inquiry, but I guess I was seeing things. You certainly can run the RB in the later cars. Just follow that link to big block dart.

Thanks for the info guys. I’m not sure if he wants to ditch the power brake booster on the 75’ Dart, but if the clearance is tight on earlier ones, then it could be an issue.

If nothing else, grab the 67 manifolds. They are worth bucks these days, depending on which body they are for (B or C).

your correct run the exhaust down through the hole in k member and straight back.

440 here no problems. Shorten the outer column and add an access hole for #6 plug. These are from a B body. C body drivers side gives up a few HP.
