Good news is solid metal hiding under there. Just Bakersfield dirt.
Seal compared to original is going to work just less rubber in certain spots.
BAD news is glass is wrong. I purchased it and the seal together long time ago but never noticed big difference at top. Old glass in front. Wonder what it fits?

I got the tires balanced so on they go.
Seem to be hard to center really well since the OD of shank is a tad small, but I think I got it. Dropped the front just a hair since I always knew it was high LF. Last picture is after lowered. Hardly noticeable. Next dry road day I will test drive and align it.
O yeah need to finish cleaning center caps and a logo for centers since 2 of the original are not coming out well.
Ideas are welcome!!!. ( no Britney Spears lol) 1 3/4 OD will fit. View attachment 1716348694View attachment 1716348695View attachment 1716348696

Lock strip came in from Precision, it looks good. I will see how it fits soon as glass comes in.
Taking all the little staples on top that held vinyl top down out (.dems a bugger to get out)and will put a coat of Chassis saver down before glass installation.

I filled the canyon just to see how it would turn out. Glue still wet.
New dash pad out of the budget for now so its fun to see what I can do.
I'm not restoring for now just want to have fun

Nothing too exciting to show but I sealed up the vinyl top staple holes with chassis saver. I think I ready to go pick up the windshield and get it in.

Around post 158 Front Glass
Also post 174 where the real work started.
Just remember with the front glass, the sun and being able to see what you are doing makes all the difference. Also an extra set of hands is a plus.
