Hi Folks

Stupid me.......When assembling the dash and steering column, I confirmed that I had no electrical gremlins before the install. I checked the hazard light output at the firewall block. Unfortunately, the rear light feed comes out of the dash to the body block.....Which I neglected to test.

So, continuity testing between the hazard feed and the 4 output wires (switch activated and the hazard flasher jumped) shows continuity to the front sockets and nothing to the rear.

Am I replacing the signal switch assembly, or has anyone had any luck getting this thing to work. I believe that the hazard switch is faulty.........

Thanks FABO

There is a multi connector behind the left kick panel for all lights to the rear. Check there.
Been there, done that! Traced the lack of power back to the under column connector. Then continuity testing through the hazard switch at which time I found no continuity between the feed and 2 of the output terminals (rear lights).

The rear hazards are same wires as the rear brake and turn signal. They go to the TS connector at the column. Do the brake lights work? Do the left and right signals work? The brake light power comes off the switched side of the brake light switch and feeds INTO the TS column connector.

If part of that works and part does not, it is right in the TS switch

Have you swapped out the "hazard flasher" can. I believe you have two of them, one for turn signals and one for hazards. The hazard can is wired so they work with the ignition in the "off" position and the turn signals work with ignition in the "run" position.

Turns out it was the white feed wire to the rear lights right in the switch. A dab a solder where the wire attached to the contact and all is good. I never checked the rear brake lights when I noticed the hazards weren't working at first but, based on the repair, I suspect that they did not.
