70 dart 470 ci drag car build.

It's almost on the road. I'm just about done playing with spaghetti, then I'll be getting it registered and shmobbin down the road. I've never wired a car from scratch, so it's taking a bit. Hopefully it comes to life when the switches are thrown. lol
Awesome, I hope it works the first fire too & has no problems ever.

Just to make it easier to port I cut the top carb base off, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that it was warped, No big deal.

Nice work, but I see Tim doesn't have it polished up yet.
Did he get the body prepped for paint yet? lol

It's awesome that you have the ability to do that! I'm anxious to see the final product.
Thank you, Its more like I have nothing in my head telling me that I can't, I'm still learning how to do it too, just self taught.
The other day I was trying to fix a leak in my Tig cooler line and found out that there's a 6 gauge electrode that runs up to the torch.
1st though was, oops that's $200.00 then just thought about it and fixed it.

I gotta know what your welding setup is. Cast AL is tough, are you getting a lot of porosity?
When I first welded the runners, it was horrible with porosity.
I have a everlast 256 si
I use a 8 cup with 25 cfm, set the machine at 200 amps and play with the pedal, today I tried messing with the frequency and ended up running really nice at 250 Hertz and 60% cleaning.
Next time I weld like this I'm going to use 1/8 inch rod. 3/32 just takes forever to build.

Figured out my shape and matched it roughly up on top, I just need to bring up the port height into the taper & epoxy some of the for seen dead spots.
Have to thank my best buddy @Newbomb Turk
for loaning me the best carbide I've ever used.
"Killer carbide high helix ".
I removed so much metal so fast without making ditches and banging around every once in a while like happens with the big single cut.

Pretty productive Saturday, 5 hours of yard work (pulling weeds).
1.5 hours or breakfast, lunch and dinner lol
2 hours of car stuff.
Today in my quest of trying to organize my garage I seen a small mess of parts laying on the ground.
It is my anti-roll bar, so I decided to put it together.
My port work is going pretty slow since I have it at work and I typically like to bust *** or go home but I now have a model port to follow into the rest of the runners.

the left port is slightly larger than that now since I took the 2.400 port all the way up.
That's all for now .

Shouldn't that be 5 hours for car stuff and 2 hours for weed pulling or 7 hours for car stuff and screw the weeds!
I have to do a lot of work around here to earn my time on the car, we live in sorta a desert so if I don't get them out now before they seed it's a real pain in the ***.
But I agree, more car time.

I'm licensed in Idaho and Washington for commercial weed control if that helps.
I do roadside and CRP weed control as a side gig.
How much money you got. :)

Does Gavin allow that, I've heard the regs are tough in Cali.
Honestly don’t know, youre probably right though. If he can make money regulating it, he will. I buy stuff from out of state and water it down then spray. It’s very expensive but it kills rocks.

How much money do I have?
Let's just say I need 2 side gigs and my full-time underpaid job to pay the bills.

It doesn't surprise me, you didn't spare the cash the past few years on the build, you have some nice parts and a killer engine.
