Casually looking for some answers about a push rod bent ii see this forum on chrome, so last night i go out and about 3-4 blocks running start a knocking sound on the valve train, i get out the rocker arms and see that the sound came from a push rod at specific, so i get the push rod just for curiosity and notice it was bent, not too much but it was? why that could happened?
PD: I stop the engine, check some things like where the sound was coming and stuff like that, and when i started again teh sound was gone, and like 3 more blocks the knocking came back, i start the engine todays morning and was gone, really dont know whats happening??

Did you leave the bent pushrod in? The bent pushrod might be hanging up off center of the lifter quieting it, then moving to center and ticking again?

Probably collapsed a lifter, I'm surprised the pushrod hasn't pushed out.

...Or the engine overrevved, lifter pumped up to cause valve bind.... push rod was the weak link...& bent.
