LCA Bump Stop

Does anyone know the height between LCA and frame where the bump stop is installed at factory ride height (68 Barracuda)? Need dims with and without bump stop installed. The setup I have currently rides pretty low and doesn't give me much room from what I am seeing.
 
There is a ride height that is accomplished using the lower control arm pin and the bottom of the ball joint. But from what I have seen the space between the bump stop and the frame is usually around 1 inch to 1 1/4 inches
 
Looks like I have about 1 1/2" without a bump stop installed. Are there any "low profile" options that are recommended? Most I've seen are 1 3/8".

You can run a shorter bump stop, but unless you’re running larger torsion bars you’re not going to like the result. The factory lower bump stops are progressive, and with the factory size torsion bars those bump stops are used quite frequently.

If you replace the progressive factory bump stops with a shorter, non progressive bump stop you'll end up with a really rough ride unless you increase the spring rate of the bars so you’re not using the bump stops all the time.

That's what I was thinking. What were the factory size torsion bars on a slant 6? Will need to measure to see if previous owner ever upgraded now that it has a 360. I don't want to raise the front height of vehicle in general since I like the way it sits with the rake along with the 1" drop leaf springs.

If you like the way it sits, you’re going to need torsion bars much larger than anything these cars came with stock, wouldn’t matter if you had small block or even big block factory bars.

The measurement you’re describing would only put you a littler higher than I run my Duster, and I’m running 1.12” bars, 3/8” bump stops and QA1 LCA’s to add back in about 1” of compression travel vs the stock LCA’s.

Lowering the car with the torsion bar suspension means trading ride height for suspension travel. So you have to increase the spring rate so you don’t use as much travel. And if you run a non-progressive bump stop, you need to not use the bump stops nearly as much as the factory intended the original bump stops to be used.
