Stop in for a cup of coffee

Read an interesting article in the Hagerty magazine about the high end sports cars from the late 80s and 90s that will be dead in the water because the software can't be updated. Some even require 3G phone networks to update...

Hey there

I never did follow up on how the Lumen work went?

Their stuff wasn't configured correctly at the cut but our network engineer got them on the line and they were able to fix it so not bad as cuts go. My Starlink cut is Monday (OT), we'll see how that goes, one cellular connection that goes straight into the router (dual element two lines into module), and the Starlink ethernet connection, weird doing a sub this way, only fiber at that sub is the multi mode that goes to the devices/switches in the yard.

Nothing domestic. And in my opinion, there would be no software updates or any support on cars that old. Like parts support, nonexistent.

Well, at least the scenery keeps changing even if Lumen doesn't

Yeah, watching a lot of the network systems moving to STARL. Rumors on the Chinese playing Galaga with the satellites is interesting...

Yep that's always a thing. Have a new model firewall in this build, never have installed one, hope it's as configured as they say it is. At least there's good cell coverage there in case they want to remote into it during the cut.

Good morning. Going to take my grandson to a car show this afternoon/evening. He’s 13 and gets to go on vacations, lake on weekends, and tennis sport. No car interest. I’ll see if I can add more interest to his pallet.
