At 100 degrees the last 4 days, and ready 94 to 96 all month I figured it was time to move forward and add 3/8th heavy walled fuel line, and turn the oem fuel line into a return line, these hot days of summer will not mess up a good opportunity ever again.. mad face here...
George Rays Birthday Bash was two weeks ago and I drove to the town it's at 8 miles away, came to a stop light and I had to keep her running on a 92 degree sunny morning, had to turn in to a gas station for ice , she died and I got her restarted, fuel poring out float bowls, lowered front and rear bowls and limped her home.

This should remedy that, I will up date the condition of my gas tank I pulled.

Should I paint this tank first ? Or leave the jell coat ? And should it be black, silver or white with red stripes?

Look at the condition of the belly from underneath the car where zero undercoating was, loved seeing this in second picture.

I did a bunch of work to this Carter, I will be happy to have a carter setting on my intake like my old 70 barracuda had, but not a 318 carter, this is a 440 69 to 71 model from everything I found out, new Walker kit is in and soon will be settled on my Air Gap I am enjoying

Thank you for your input and positive feedback back sometimes we all need at times, it's been a bugger of a month, but this morning at 5 am it was not 84, it was 70 !! Cool weekend coming up for us here and I believe down your way I hope, we need a break from the heat.
Think I will let the gell coat ride and get this all wrapped up today, would like to take her to George Rays Wildcat Dragstrip Sunday and get me a time slip using the Carter, we both know 2.97 gears are not going to net a great pass, but just for my records, and see how the old Carter feels in hwy mode at 65-70 crushing.

We made it to Friday brother!! Let's enjoy it.

Oh !! Really!! A 47 Dodge truck, love to take a peak at it anytime you have time to post it here, your going to love the simplicity of install on the mini split, let it run and as soon as the humidity get pulled out on your shop it will start cooling like a champ. Yes, it's a permanent gell coat, scuffed with a green scotch bright on just the bottom for an aluminum high heat, all the rest scuffed as well and gave it a coat of enamel gray, same color of the gell coat..
Removed all the undercoating on the tank strap, same c on the hanger bolt. Neck and wrists are on fire this morning but it's done

Return line to tank using the arigenal fuel supply line, kept the Return line and little longer to acomidate fuel supply for my AVS Carter carb that hopefully gets installed today, Holley Avenger 670 cfm is doing a good job so far, but looking forward to seeing how the Carter does (should do a little better because of the small primaries for my tall 2.97 gears) we will see, but the tank is in and new 3/8 supply line is in and doing great after 2 20 mile drives in 95 degree weather with the returned line style fuel filter from a jeep.



RIP my youngest friend, as I need something to do today with my hands, known this young man for 42 years of his 44 years here on eath, we miss him terribly..

sorry for the loss of a friend. At our ages it seems to be happening more often. I have a friend and neighbor who is going to have surgery to remove his second breast in the morning and he is about 12 years younger than me. We never know who is next so we all just have to be ready on case its our number that comes up, Joe

Just thought I better update my friends and family here, finally took her to a special race for George Rays wife Bonnie, she passed away 4 weeks ago from a stroke, a great loss and an unexpected one, she was always at the ticket booth and walked and talked to everyone with a smile, I am missing her..
So they had a race day in her name so I took Victoria out to race for the first time, most know that I put 2.97 gears in the 8 1/4 sure grip and thats WAY tall for the 8th mile. I got lined up with a 70es ford truck with a new model big block on slicks, but Victoria is lite, nimble and near 385hp. I was tickled to run in the 9's, truck was spooked seeing at his side first 60 ft. Like I said she is sweet old girl on a diet, one day I will wight her..

I have put 785 miles on the v8 and transmission, she is a delight to drive, 65 mph running 2.150 rpms.
Well ... thank you all for chiming in this thread of mine, I will try and get to the rear quarter steel replacement, I have two perfect quarters I have kept stored for 12 years now.

Phone call from a Pocahontas Arkansas this morning @MeMikieJr , I didn't answer it because I didn't know who it was, but by the time I looked it up to see a location he texts me, I Was nice to him and everything and thanked him..

How Many Times Must I Make It Clear my Plymouth Is Not For Sale ! I asked myself..

I told two people at George Rays Wildcat Dragstrip that asked about her, I nicely said with a smile it not for sale..

It was nice talking with him and excited to see there is interest in these early A body Plymouths

I took my Challenger conv to The Mopar Nationals 10 or 12 years ago and some Iranian tried to buy it from me. I politely told him it wasn't for sale and he kept insisting that it was. He pulled out a roll of $100 bills that would choke a horse. I laughed at him and told him he didn't have enough money to buy my car. I finally had to be ugly to him to get him to go away, but I hate being that guy.

Yep, I do to but sometimes it just has to be done to carry on with our day.
Greg was very nice on the phone, told me about his Plymouths he has, but the one that got me fired up was his Plymouth Trail duster, dark gold with tanish call outs. He said he wanted to make sure I had his number and my cousin gave him mine, my cousin texted me just a little bit ago and said he figured I wouldn't mind giving it to him, both of them farmers living 7 miles apart, I an 70 miles from Pocahontas.
