Rear brakes are not bleeding.

I pulled the 3rd and there was a lot of junk in the fluid, probably a lot of the surface rust and other junk that flushed with the gears. The backlash measured around .015 which is more than what the FSM calls for.

I installed my 3rd with 3.23s it doesn’t pull nearly as hard but it doesn’t annoy the **** out of me with the loud pig squealing sound.

I’ll probably get the 4.10 unit rebuilt at some time. Cleaned the car, hasn’t been this clean in a year or so. Right now we are just going to enjoy the car while looking for a convertible :thankyou:. Getting sonic and doing an emergency appointment at the office today for an employees brother.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Love the color
Think it the pitting...
Does the pinion feel smooth....might just be a bad bearing
It least you get to drive it ....before the weather changes

That last picture is fuel mileage the car gets. Remember when all the hard work is over. You take a ride and it is measured by smiles per gallon

How them new brakes doing?

Brakes are doing great! Already driving to the office (only 6 miles). I should probably register the car so I don’t get a ticket It’s weird how high the pedal sits and how it’s instantly hard, they have never felt like this since I have owned the car.
The kiddos are getting big.

Oh they are huge! We may or may not have another one on the way too… proof that she’s actually let me get lucky 4 times. :thankyou:

Agreed! I’ve never cared about the fuel mileage, this car is strictly a fun car and my kids absolutely love it. Well my son doesn’t like pumping the brakes for a month trying to find a reason for the brakes not working… I let him know he is the reason they are fixed though.
