Hello everyone. I have a couple of questions that I hope someone will have the answers to. I am doing a rear end swap in my Duster and the 8&3/4 shock/leaf spring plate has stripped threads (& bent) on the shock absorber mount. I bought the pair several years ago and never looked them over good enough to notice this before. Is there a replacement stud for sale? Is there any other way of fixing it that would be fairly easy? This is the first time that I’ve done a rear end swap. I blocked up the body, removed the old rear end and put the other one in place. I noticed when doing the second shock/leaf plate (the above problem) and that the rear leaf (shackle area) that the leaf springs seems to have moved (rotated) forward and are not under the body mount anymore. Will this correct itself once I get the second side bolted down and the shocks back on (and the body weight is back on the suspension)? I thought I took a picture but I must not have, I can add a picture if needed. Thanks for any and all advice, I appreciate it

I’d thread a nut on that as far as I could, then clamp in a vice and beat on it with a hammer until it was straight (ish). Then just run a die down the threads to clean em up.

I'd run a thread chaser on it to see if the threads will clean up and hold torque. If not, I'd install the shock, washer, and run the nut as far as it would go and just tack weld it to the end of the stud. That will hold good enough to keep the shock on. There isn't much side thrust on that nut.
