I’ve been unsuccessful in finding new/nos replacement parts for Mopar Magnum Crate 300 and Crate 380. Has anyone here stockpiled?
Most of the parts in those were stock Magnum casting block, heads, and crankshaft, with stock rods, rocker arms, pushrods, etc. the 300hp version even had stock pistons and, I think, stock camshaft.I’ve been unsuccessful in finding new/nos replacement parts for Mopar Magnum Crate 300 and Crate 380. What kind of parts are you looking for, as an example? Most of it has to be sourced with aftermarket replacement parts or aftermarket upgrade parts.

Both crate engines (300 and 380) used factory long blocks with the same blocks, cranks, rods, pistons, and cylinder heads. The 300 had a stock truck camshaft and a dual plane M1. The 380 had a larger roller cam and a single plane m1. Both were rated with 750cfm carbs. Most of the parts in those were stock Magnum casting block, heads, and crankshaft, with stock rods, rocker arms, pushrods, etc. the 300hp version even had stock pistons and, I think, stock camshaft.

Any reasons you’re looking for specific mopar crate engine parts? Most of the stuff you’re looking for has been replaced by better aftermarket stuff now.A few items I have been searching for:

Right. Basically no good reason other than putting the 300hp purchased in 1997 back to as shipped specs. I still have the blue crate for it. The 380hp version I acquired in early 2000’s is a “short block” now… the top end was sold years ago. I’d like to restore/rebuild both with MP products as delivered. I know- weird… but it’s nostalgia to me and a challenge.Any reasons you’re looking for specific mopar crate engine parts? Yes sirThe Magnum engines haven't been made for 22 years, plus, the MP pieces haven't been made for longer than that. There isn't much left.
Be patient and some of those items will show up for sale. Lately it seams like sellers think these parts are made of solid gold. Good luck with your plans.Right. As good a reason as any. The 300 is a stock long block plucked straight from the assembly line with an m1 dual plane, (I just sold one to @volaredon not long ago). Those are up for sale here once in a while. So that one should be easy.Right. Basically no good reason other than putting the 300hp purchased in 1997 back to as shipped specs. Earlier this year I rebuilt my 360/380 magnum with a stroker kit, TF heads, Eddy RPM intake, PRW rockers, etc.A few items I have been searching for:

Hope this works. I don't see Jadahrabi" pic just a link to it that I now can't open. I have an M1 like Jadahrabi shows and then there's this one. Both taken from a thread "a page down" by "six barrel Bill" about running v belts on a magnum.
Ford small blocks and Chevy small blocks (not LS please don't start on those, I want nothing to do with them)! haven't been built in even longer yet stuff is still a dime a dozen for them...The Magnum engines haven't been made for 22 years, plus, the MP pieces haven't been made for longer than that. So you wont help with my Challenger vert with an LS and 4L60e plan.Ford small blocks and Chevy small blocks (not LS please don't start on those, I want nothing to do with them)! haven't been built in even longer yet stuff is still a dime a dozen for them...
Something that's always pissed me off.... As in how many people don't even acknowledge Mopar exists
The links both worked. His shows the Magnum intake bolt pattern with LA thermostat and bypass hose and mine shows the Magnum intake bolt pattern with Magnum thermostat and bypass hose locations. I know in the single plane versions they also had LA intake pattern with Magnum thermostat and bypass hose locations. There were some interesting parts available for a short time.Hope this works. I may have to find one like the 2nd pic due to wanting AC on this build and 80s truck brackets possibly not wanting to work on the first one.
The GM and Ford stuff is STILL available new from GM Performance and Ford Motorsport. Their popularity justified keeping some of those parts in the catalogues long after they were used in any production vehicle. Chrysler always discontinued parts as soon as they could. It's a shame really, because the M1 single plane intake was a really good part and back around 2000 they were only about $199 or so. Now some clown has one on ebay for $1500. It's not worth anywhere near that much, but you never know what someone will be willing to pay so they get posted like that.Ford small blocks and Chevy small blocks (not LS please don't start on those, I want nothing to do with them)! haven't been built in even longer yet stuff is still a dime a dozen for them...
