Naw, don't build it into something that isn't enjoyable to drive. Race car may be yes.

Too bad someone here doesn't need a slant and 904. Jeff has one he would sell cheap. Pick up only. N E Iowa

For the first time in looking into HEI, I have already started swapping cars over to the newer mini starters, because why wouldn't you, they are better than the originals in every way
I run Chryslers dist', pick up and chrome box.
I like the sound of the old starters, especially on a big block. Slower moves a little oil b4 the engine starts. How long does it take for high torque to kill gear teeth? I dont want to know. I can hit the OEM with a tire iron and say "just 1 more time bish." They can't count so repeat repeat repeat until it goes deaf. Hitting the mini starter is a wasted effort. They die sudden death. I still have 2 used OEM here. No mini starters laying around. So, not in every way.

I have a friend telling me I should look into a HEI ignition system now that I'm about to convert the valiant from points to electronic ignition.

I always stayed very strict with factory parts because I'm not a racer. Anyone who challenges me to a race, will probably win because my cars are slow and for use on the street.

Dad and I both ran the HEI mods. My distributor had bad bearing/bushing, so that is the only reason for the MSD swap for me. Nice part is every auto parts store on the planet has an HEI module in stock.

@halifaxhops you have kits available?

Bud Light can says 4 simple ingredients. hmmm, I know 3 of those.
Corn Flakes commercial says 4 simple ingredients. hmmm, I know 1 of those. LOL
Idea for a game show, Whats In It?

From the photos of that train wreck, the engine must have made contact between the truck cab and trailer. Truck driver hurt badly and still alive. 3 injuries among the 200+ passengers all minor. No explosions or fires. Hopefully the broccoli wasn't badly contaminated by the 2000 gallons of fuel that escaped the tanker. Highway is open. That train must have had bad joojoo from the beginning of it's journey. About 40 rail mile before it got here they had to stop because a pregnant woman had a "medical emergency" on board, that stop lasted 90 minutes :realcrazy: . The passengers were loaded on busses to continue their journey after the wreck. Just a guess on my part, the truck driver had headphones on. Those train engineers religiously sound their horns well ahead of each and every crossing regardless if there is a vehicle nearby or not. Could have been a lot worse. The victims were blessed.

Morning people!
Good morning Ray, hope all is well, I need some of your knowledge please, I have a hand full of ecu's and I will get a picture of them so I can message you a picture for information today later, think that will be ok ??

Remember just because they start does not mean they are good, They have a bunch of different sections like high rpm, low rpm, dwell etc.
Oh !! OK, so .... sounds like I need to run them down the road and do a hit on each one, this will take some time and fuel experience, so I know and remember to carry a well known good one with me on these test runs.
Thank you Ray.
