We all love our Mopars, but there is always one thing that irritates us. What is yours? Mine?

I have always hated that "shelf" on B Bodies and A bodies that runs from the top of the door to the trunk, you know the "shelf", the one that you rest your arm on when driving.

Especially on my white scamp, you can wash it, then it sits over night, gets moisture on it and dust, and it dries the next day, and leaves a dirty spot along it.

C'mon, you guys must have some pet peaves.

I hate when people paint there engine compartments and dont bother to take the shock hardware off. Its 2 nuts guys. Just pull them off and stick them in a bag.

Chrysler electrical harness bulkhead connectors. Ammeters are next on the list.Third is how the aftermarket treats us.

4" bp
rear wheel clearance on my dart
limited part availability or prohibivilty expensive parts

A Mopar that has the engine bay painted black or any other color that doesn't match the exterior paint. (except some C-body cars were black)

Anything painted over in the engine bay that shouldn't be like brake lines, bolts, wires, plactic items, and yes Adam, those shock bolts and washers!!

I also hate how the 1966 Barracuda's and Valiants have that one stupid bolt that holds the grille to the fender from the inside, way up inside the fender where there is no room!!!!

What irks me........What irks me?????

Oi' Vei'...........

ANY time I'm working on a car where the eye can't see, I find some seeming shortcut the designers took....probably just not well thought out......or perhaps they just didn't give a blank, and put it together that way to save a dime....

It HAUNTS me I tell ya'.............

I can HEAR their laughs from the assembly line 40 years ago, sayin' "Just wait til' some poor sap tries to take THAT apart....Hah!! Ain't gonna be me!!!"

We GET it guys..................Funny! What's next???!!! :stop::spiderma::angry7:

Anything that has to do with taking a dash apart!!!! I hate working under, on, or even around a damn dashboard. I'd sooner scrape undercoating when its 100 degrees than pull an instrument panel or remove that damn fake wooden trim on the dash!

LMAO pastor Tom. Been there ,done that. I know they're laughing. The engine bay painted black is another and the door slammin too. No chevy motors in my mopars. I'm sure theres more.

You REALLY want my opinion on headliners that tuck UNDER the front & rear window glass?

I just DID that stinkin' headliner............

(I need a cold chocolate milk and some cookies....gotta mellow.....must mellooooooow................)

:stop:

Idiots at car shows that put their greasy paws all over your car.

I don't care if my car is a rust bucket with a black engine compartment a chevy motor, a ford 9 inch rear and a pontiac drive shaft...keep your flippin hands of my car!!!!!!!

And control your damn kids too!!!

And.....and.... your Wife is ugly as a stump, and were you that freaking fat when your Wife married you?

AAhhh, now I feel better.

Slamming doors and corroded battery posts.disgust
to easy to see and fix and see!!
And keeping up with my cold beer.

I'm irked because I now feel like I'm an insult to the mopar following. I painted my engine bay black......I may have possibly gotten some overspray on the suspension parts.....I have some bondo in my car........Nevermind I'm over it. I just remembered we are supposed to build them the way we want them!! I love black engine bays, it matches my trunk too:). It sure helps keep the engine bay hot in the winter and it matches my headers. I also let people touch my car at car shows, I even let the kids get in and climb all over the seats........I'm going to hell!!

Dont for get vinyl roofs that tuck in to the window channel also. That means I have to do my head liner and roof before putting the glass in.

Headers.

Installing headers. Bolting headers to the motor. Replacing blown header gaskets.

Like the bottom of the roof skin, inside of the doors and quarter window area, underside of the dash and cowl, etc, etc, etc. Also, when folks restore mopars, why do they insist on leaving these areas alone,to rust more?I also cant stand the glue that squeezed out from the hood skin and under bracing, gobs of seam sealer every were, especially in the trunk, and fire wall were it can be seen. And the worst of all,why would any factory seam seal,or undercoat bare metal, before primer,or paint?
