I was just wandering if anybody ever bought a "new" car and found something cool in it as a bonus you didn't know about? Maybe not cool but a big surprise you weren't expecting?

i bought a new dodge des.in 04 lefted rear seat to look for front tag braket and fond a 1/4inch.air ratchit with 7/16th sockit

HAAAAA Good thread idea!

In my 1968 Charger (sorry nothing cool in my Dart) there was part of a New Era potato chip bag and an empty Goebel beer can(opened with the church-key) in the passenger's door.

I found a dead body............of a rat!!! ewwwww glad it wasn't the live version, and 24$ 1 20 bill and a bunch of change under the rear seat and in the ashtrays

Bought my 'new' '69 Dart off eBay couple of years ago. After talking with the PO, I was expecting the new 380hp 360 crate, new AutoMeter guages (still in box), new B&M shifter (still in box) and other stuff we talked about. But was not expecting to find brand new 3"-dia. exhaust and new mufflers sitting on the back seat. Those had never been mentioned in either the eBay ad or during the several times we talked over the phone.

Time slips from back in the day, and a really great Crescent wrench inside the door...............How you can forget that, in there, I will NEVER figure.

I found this old sterling silver cigarette lighter in a `68 Dart about 30 years ago. Mostly I`ve found lots of change and matchbooks.

i found a cup of petrolum jelly and a bull whip a new set of hooker headers and a howe aluminum rad. in the trunk of my scamp oh and a 742 center section with a 3.55 gear the first two freaked me out at first but the rest of the stuff was a nice surpise

When redoing the interior of my Duster a couple summers ago I found a $100 bill, and a few old photos, turns out they were of the original owner from when she got the car, says so on the back of one of them.
A friend of mine took apart her Duster when she got it, back before I knew her, and found a rusted bowie knife under the back seat, wrapped in a plastic bag. She's got it in a box in her garage where she keeps all the original parts off of that car.
Another friend of mine bought his '71 340 Duster, now a drag race car, from a guy who was living in it...guy left all of his stuff except his teddy bear in the car when my friend went and picked it up

Oh also when I bought a 1985 Dodge Ram half ton, I found a 1985 First Aid survival kit behind the seat, and it had a Chrysler print on it. I've never seen a Chrysler First Aid kit before, but there was un labelled chocolate bars, and band aids and things.

Found behind the dash of a 69 Dart Swinger 340, that I bought while living in California: 1 sharpened butter knife, 1 feathered roach clip, 1 small ivory triangle shaped pipe (for smoking tiny amounts of tobacco I assume, hahaha) No wonder the car was so cheap !

I found a pipe in mine also but then remembered it was mine from 4 years ago. LOL

04 Quadcab Hemi. My buttprint in the seat every time I open the door for the last 65,000 miles.:-D:-D:-D:-D

a 1970 challenger i went looked at b4 i bought my 71 was a viagra buisness card and pieces of the buildsheet... my dad bought a 1989 jeep wrangle and found change on the floor one was a nickle stamped on a penny coin turned out it is worth couple hundred dollars

Removed the back seat of my 67 barracuda looking for the build sheet and found a mouse nest the size of a football on the drivers side. In the middle of the back seat I found a 4"x4"x3" lump of coal.

I took the mouse house out but I put the coal back it.

I wouldnt say cool but the most interesting thig I found came from the Spirit of 76 Dart Lite I owned a few years ago.I bought the car and the ign. keys didnt match the door keys(found out the hard way) also did not have the trunk key.I drove it for a while and finally found a set of locks with keys to replace the mismatched ones on the dart. So I remove the back seat, tape a flat head to a broom handle and pop the trunk lock.I found the missing trunk and door keys, various car parts and books, and a bible sized leather case that zipped closed. When I looked in the case I found 200 bux( 1/3 of what I paid for the car)a razor blade and about 20 little glass vials full of white powder! kept the 200,and took the vials to the local poliece dept.I explained to them what happened and said I dont know if its drugs or not,but I thought bringing it to them was the right thing to do.They made me fill out a report, took my number and I went home.A few days later the same officer called me and told me they tested the powder and sure enough it was about 60 grams of cocaine. He said it had a street value of over 3,000 bux and if caught with it,would mean BIG prison time! Glad I turned it in.

I wonder why the cop didnt laugh when I asked him if I could have it back to raise money for my project car:snakeman:

Found a glass bottle full of weed in my original owner '69 Swinger 340. Also found a break up letter from the previous owners ex-girlfriend. I tossed that but considered taking the weed back to him. He's a good guy, and we would have a laugh over that. The bottom of the glovebox seperated from the dash and the contents landed on top of the heater-box.
Under the carpet of an old '66 Dart GT parts car I found an entire handful of the hard to find trim clips and screws that hold the vinyl top trim down on the top of the car. I found enough to do the drag car I have with NOS parts! Apparently the guy on the line finished with a bunch left over and just tossed them under the carpet.
While taking the headrests out of a '69 Chrylser 300, I found the headrest mounting rods were shimmed into the seat frame with Bazooka Joe bubble gum comics. Apparently the guy on the line chewed Bazooka Joe bubble gum habitually, because he threw about 1000 comics into the back of the seat frame.

I guess I will include mine as well, I had a buddy buy an S10 at a police auction after driving for a month or so he got tired of the lump in his seat so we took it out to see what it was. Now we know why it was at a police auction there was $5900 in 50's and 100's in the seat. Not a bad purchase for $300. Mine most recent purchase a 74 Valiant 4 door I found several dollars in change under the rear seat, perfect owners manual in the glove box, the trunk wouldn't open so through the back seat I went and found a new ignition switch, cool old set of tire chains stil in the box, nice original jack set, Oh and under the hood a petrified snake.

In my '72 duster I found a gas receipt from '84 and a couple dead mice. In my '74 Ramcharger I found a bunch of loose firecrackers in the glovebox and a full beer between the inner and outer bedsides.
