Yeahhhhhhhhhh, I know. See what this build is doing to me??? Cuttin' into my dayum beauty sleep now. LOL

In all fairness, I've been hitting it pretty hard lately trying to get my usual hours in amidst working on the new oven every day at 4:00. Even though I'm still technically working, the oven building is cutting into the shop hours so I try to make them up by starting earlier.

And it's not gettin' done sitting here typing. Daylight's burnin. I'm off to the shop. Happy Monday ya'll.
 
Even though I absolutely hate the rain, I'm kinda glad it is! I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything when I'm inside working on the Dart, lol. But it BETTER clear up in July...
 
Better be nice Aug.15 and 16 . other than that I am indoors anyway...lol....Hey does anyone have front and rear valances for this pig? I totally forgot I need them was jusreminded by the wife.
 
How right you are Adam . Every junk yard I called that has a a-body told me the same thing. Mine has a ton of dough in it when I started sanding it early this morning. Has a hole the size of my fist in it. I really hate this car right now. If I had the time I would crush it and start with something more common. And CHEAPER to build. As it is the budget is gone and still need about 5500 to finish the car if no more donations come through. It sucks . Anyway thanks for the info and I am off to make my west coast phone calls.
 
hey I got some fiberglass Panels stuck in addison Ill. Anyone live near there that want to help get it here? Like to get a train going if I can and meet somewhere to pick it up. Company does not want to cover shipping and I need these parts! HELP PLEASE !!!!
 
got the news paper and shriners coming to the shop tomorrow. THe car still looks like hell ! Oh well time to be a media ***** !!!!!!!

It could actually be a good thing that the car still has a long way to go - makes a strong case for the need of more sponsors. ***** away!
 
Yeah but not at all what I wanted to do . I just want this car done and auctioned off. The goal is to get the shriners what they need, Money and more awareness. Hopefully I can do both.

Well I am coming to a point where I am now trying to figure out when enough is enough. Running out of time. No parts that are promised by companies. Money gone. As it is I am robbing Peter to pay Paul so to speak. People loosing faith in the cause, and it seems that nothing is going to go right on this build. Aug. 15 is 45 days away. Have no motor still , no Quarters, no gauges, Have a **** load of promises that aint here yet. So know when is it time to just throw the towel in ? I say I am going to fight till I aint standing anymore. So now I am media whoreing and trying to sell all my chevy parts to build a car that I will never drive or own. I am building a car that could potential keep alot of kids in a hospital full of great people who give them the best care in the world for free. Potetially I am building the future. This is what I see when looking at this car. Not what am i getting out of it. Man if I here from onemore company "what do I get out of it ?"I am gonna snap! So this is the hell I am dealing with. I have always been a Chevy guy and now know why. Parts so much easier to find. Hell I can build a bad *** small block for the price of mopar heads ...or damn near. Anyway I got to get back to getting kicked in the teeth with lieing companies and trying to keep the future of many children bright and promising.
 
First video is of a friend of mine who was passionate about racing. He was at the race track I raced at in agawam ma. He was a huge gear head that defyed the odds for many years. The Shriners help Jamie conqure his dreams. With the hospital closing so many kids are going to lose that oppertunity. So help us out, make donations and lets give all kids an oppertunity like Jamie.
 
Keep The Faith Joe...if building mopars was easy everyone would be doing it.theres only so much people on one website can do to help...but then again theres a lot of help and love here ain't there!with the exception of the engine and trans the rest is no diffrent than any other gasser type car.I wish I lived closer I'd be up to my elbows in grease.and I'm sure many other members would be right there helping.post more pic's on this thread to keep it flowing showing the progress you have accomplished.

You are doing a great thing here and believe me I know you must be
aggravated with the co not holding up to there word.
If I had the cash I would send waggin to you and take care of his bills while he was gone and pay his way there to get the tec work on the build going.
He sure is a get it dun type member.
July 3rd is when I will have the $60 I can send to help out.

Thanks guys. It just pisses me off you get all these promises and then they do not come through. These companies have all the money and resources and want nothing to do with helping kids, And that is what this is really about,not a car ,not me ,but the hospital for children ! I get a call from a company and they tell me we are gonna clean the building out of parts for that car and send them to me, well 2 weeks later I get a box in my mail box with parts I aint even gonna use and tell me that is it. Man do not make that kinda promise without following through. I am the type of person who does what I set out to do . The sad thing is the people with very little to give and do, help the most. It just sucks that I am not where I want to be. It just sucks. I am gonna keep truckin and hope things go well in the end. It is just so stressful. I do want everyone on here that has helped know it has not been and will not be forgetten. Memike that is awsome if you can do it. Please remember I am doing this to make things better not make people struggle in anyway. So I THANK YOU And everyone else for the help and Info todate.
