Ross' Aspen

-
I am thinking about something like this, for right now though I am going to shave chop and tuck the stock one. I will shorten it to fit a lot more like a '71 demon bumper and also shave the bolt holes.

wow did u draw this? this pic is great, i wish i could draw like that.

well I ran into a little problem..... not sure what to do now, is it just my bumper bent or are they all like that?
Maybe I will just run the big bumpers for the time and suck them in/ shorten the ends......

What do you all think?

bend the bumper, and just paint the bumpers the same colour as your car, just my opinion

they are going to be painted, bending a bumper like that isn't so easy, I rolled the lower lip and the took a lot of heat and pounding. I am going to pull it off and see what I can do about bending it but who knows.

Sinner!

Looking very good  It's getting that bad *** look =P~ Congrat's and the tail light turned out great. Keep on moving forward

A few things I got for the aspen recently.

The 360 has been sitting for about 5 years so in a week or two I think I am going to do a tear down for inspection.

Ross....do wee need to have the "this is why Ross isn't allowed to open up a motor" talk again? Please tell me that Mike is going to take care of the inspection for you!

As for the bumper.. strategically placed small pie cuts, bend it in until you get the shape you want, then weld it back together.

I gave up on that bumper and am using a highly modified one from a '70 cuda, lots of pie cuts but it looks 100% better. I have another friend named Rodger who Mike admitted knows more then him coming up to help with the tear down and re-assemble.

Some of the #'s I had on the 360 weren't adding up and since I don't know the bump stick we were figuring it's time to take a look. This way too I am going to have Mike do a little P/P on the heads and most likely drop a 305H cam in. Should be good for 420hp or so.

Hey Ross,it,s good your gonna open up the motor(nothing worse than having a mystery motor?)atleast now you,ll know what you have and will be able to do the right changes for a better performing motor.Keep up the good work and have a Happy New Year!Looking forward to your progress!

Thanks Scott, you too.

If this job works out I want to get the swinger all wrapped up by this summer and the aspen at least figured out. That means about 2k more on the aspen and hopefully some paint work? I still have the bumper thing to finish and then build the valances but I think if I use swinger valances I can make it work. It's only metal lol

I knew I put them somewhere safe. I finally found them though!
I never found a build sheet though, o well
