Oh.........wait till it's wetsanded and buffed......Ohhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhh  there is very little orange peel in it but man oh man it's gonna be sweet buffed out.....
Dam wags that thing looks good the way it is..

That looks very nice! Good to see people restoring the old Valiants. That's gonna be sweet!

keeps my arms in good shape...ya wanna arm wrestle? I'm not a production shop,i have tryed the da and foam pad deal before and one lil' piece of dirt will leave a lil' tractor mark and ruin the whole paintjob,by hand you can hear if a piece of dirt gets on the surface.theres a lot of sand in water so I use a spray bottle with soap and warm water to avoid it
Your doing the wet sanding the hard way. Use the D/A with a foam backing pad.

we D/A them with 1000 dry, Then hit it with 3000 wet. It will shine before you even buff it. It does come out flatter with a block though

I can't tell from the pix...

Looks like a '65, but not sure..

It's gorgeous, whatever it is (early Valiants are my favorite A-Bodies....)

Wet sanding with a pair of paint paddles was the way I always dun it waggin.
I remember my finger tips trying to separate from my nails :angry7:
Yep spay pottle with warm water to keep the sand paper clean and surface wash back is the way to go  I use a new bondo spreader to keep an eye on my work as I go.8)

Nice job waggin =P~=P~

Yep Mikey I use a paint paddle as well. Perfect thickness, flat and doesn't swell when left in water.

Man, these little Valiant's are really starting to grow on me the more I see them done up so nice such as yours.

I saw a really cool orange pro street one at a car show not too long ago, man was it sharp.
Yours looks like it's going to be a real stunner when it's all put together.

waggin, what's the paint code? looks like ruby for 64 or 65, I think they changed the name red poly metallic or something... looks awesome!

2008 ferd fusion redfire pearl metallic...yep it's an original color Jim picked the color, after all it's his car I just have had more fun with it than him LoL
