It was the alt. gauge. The wires into the alt. gauge was lose. Pulled the dash and got to the wires and tighted them up. Cleaned the circuit board also. I have power and dash lights too. Thanks

I swapped out the battery cables and lost all power to the inside. the only thing I have is hazzards. No dome light, head lights, nothing. I have checked ground and traced power. What am I over looking? Everything work up to the point of swapping the cables.

We use 3" rubber hose at work for air lines, it looks a lot like heater duct hose. I was going to use it on my car when I got to that point. Its a lot cheaper than $75.00 for eight feet. Its rubber and has a metal wire coiled though it. I'll have to get a picture and post it. Maybe it will work...

Should I use any kind of primer before painting the block?

Does anyone have a suggestion on what is a good paint to paint the engine block? I’m getting to paint the engine and not sure what I should get. It’s a 71’ 340; I believe it should be orange. Thanks
