It was the alt. gauge. The wires into the alt. gauge was lose. Pulled the dash and got to the wires and tighted them up. Cleaned the circuit board also. I have power and dash lights too. Thanks

I swapped out the battery cables and lost all power to the inside. the only thing I have is hazzards. No dome light, head lights, nothing. I have checked ground and traced power. What am I over looking? Everything work up to the point of swapping the cables.

We use 3" rubber hose at work for air lines, it looks a lot like heater duct hose. I was going to use it on my car when I got to that point. Its a lot cheaper than $75.00 for eight feet. Its rubber and has a metal wire coiled though it. I'll have to get a picture and post it. Maybe it will work...

Should I use any kind of primer before painting the block?

Does anyone have a suggestion on what is a good paint to paint the engine block? I’m getting to paint the engine and not sure what I should get. It’s a 71’ 340; I believe it should be orange. Thanks

I believe it is Martin Senour. He printed me a paper on how to mix it and it was on a Martin Senour letter head. That good to know. Thanks for the info. That might be way I go.

I'm getting close to painting my Demon and has been checking on paint. A buddy told me to check out NAPA. I talked to them and of course the said their paint was good stuff. As good as PPG. Any truth to this? Has any one used it? Is it any good?

I'm at a junk yard and found a 8.75 rearend in a 72 New Yorker It has a 489 pig how can I tell if its a posi with out pulling it? I'm at lunch and in work clothes. So I don't have much time. do I need to take the rest of the day off and change my clothes and come back with tools?

I need to repair the fenders of my 71 Demon just below the side marker lights, they are rusted through about a inch below the cut out for the lights. I was thinking about just patching them in and have no side lights front and back. Has any one done this before? What do you think? I got the idea...

I have 3 wiring harnesses, One from a slant 6 no A/C, One from a 318 no A/C, and a harness from a slant 6 with A/C. I'm swapping out the slant 6 for a 340 and got a complete A/C from a parts car. What would the best harness to use? Is the A/C wiring in the harness for the V-8 and just taped...
