SB or BB a body debate

BB @ 650 HP lives long time....Small Block @650 HP lives shorter life. Bigger engines live longer at a given HP and Torque Level.

    Mustang boss 302 vs mopar!

The "Boss" 302 suffered from the same thing many 5.0 Mustang guys tried in the begining. Too much cyl. head, and not enough bottom end. Now, if we was to compare the New 6.1 liter Challenger to the "Boss 302" Mustang of today, i think the Mustang beats Mopar all the way around the horn.

    833 tranny

:violent2:That's alot of fab work just to say you did something. The $$ one saves will be spent fabbing up fifty different parts. You better hope you found a 1970 and LATER B/E-body 4-speed, or that REAR shifter pattern won't be there.

    833 tranny

"Long tailShaft" won't work..You need a short tailshaft 4-speed for an A-body in a Duster. I have a couple if looking. Also have an OD Cast iron case as well. Have a set of pedals I think as well as most of the linkages. I think I MIGHT even have a small block 10.5 Bellhousing.

    273 Pilot Bushing/Bearing Problem / Fix

Just FYI here, but there's TWO different bushings for Chrysler engines. One is the standard size and one is .030 smaller....NAPA has them. I believe the Smaller one is called the "Conversion" bushing. Rule of thumb, if the car was an automatic and your going 4-speed, you will most likely...

    rebuild and bullet proof question

How much power a given engine makes has no bearing on popping out of gear. Shifter boots, incorrectly adjusted shifters/linkages, bent linkages, bent shifter mech. inside trans, Worn "Dogs" on teeth of third gear from missed shifts, etc. Play a major role in popping out of gear. Yes, I will...
