Are the heads you have now good to go? If they are I wouldn't bother with the aluminum heads yet. But if they need machine work and all that, by the time that is said and done you probably wouldn't be too far off from the price of the 440 source heads
I've found the majority of their hand tools get the job done just fine. Plus, with a lifetime warranty on a lot of their hand tools planned obsolescence isn't really a factor. They make no money when you replace them on a warranty

I don't think it would cause any problems. You're about nearing the limit there though in my opinion, in terms of width. Sounds like a cool project though. Not a lot of 4 doors.
