Not yet, I installed the engine last year and promply cooked the transmission. So the trans and 7.25 rear end came out and I'm now waiting on the trans kit. I just finished installing a 8.25 w/3.21 SG.

I borrowed the jig from a member on moparts to redrill the heads for an LA intake. I needed to open up a few bolt holes toward the top.The intake was used from ebay so no telling what was done to it before. Not a bad intake for $40 shipped. http://www.bigblockranger.com/Jig.html

I built a 318 like the 400HP build but I made a few small changes, "cleaned up" the Magnum heads, XE268H cam , stock `72 340 intake and a Demonsizzler modded TQ. This is a strong 318. I do not notice any low lack of low end torque but a stall is needed if you run an automatic.

I know from the 318 I built very similar to the mag head 400hp build it will be a wash if the new rods can be had for $219 ready to go. I would have purchased the new ones insted of using the floating HD stockers if the new ones did not need any work.

I tried an 625 AFB first . No top end power, would not idle down low, almost no noticable difference when the secondarys came on. David and I determined that the way my engine is built it needed more fuel/air . The TQ works great. Plenty of power, awesome secondarys, and will idle @750 when warm...

I purchased a TQ from David, he does know his carbs. A great guy to deal with and awesome customer service. He will stand by anything he sells. Send him an email give him some info on your car. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks guys , I tried 3 times to order the parts form Randys. I went as far as having a guy take my info and the back on hold, 10 minutes later I gave up. I would rather pay more and not be ignored. If I take some pictures could it be identified as a cone type ?
