I had the same problem with those spacers pushing the rocker to the side of the valve stem. Touched them up on a grinder until they were perfectly centered. Mopar engine builder advised that practice was commonplace. Hope he was right.

just a thought, have you checked torque converter bolts? engine accessories?

My 440 in from the top with no problems. Trans from bottom after. Mini starter. Installing schumacher headders from the top after was a royal pain in the ***. Yes I had to with my /6-rb conversion mounts. I also wish I had grinded out a little more as the clearance is very tight! Instructions were dead on, however I used a high volume pump and only widened my grinds very slightly

what year a body is this for? do you have a part #? Is thid thr type that mounts to the frame rails and connects to rear shock absorber plate with sway bar links?
