    No oil to top end

I've always just used one of those bent distributor wrenches to hook it under the quill shaft gear and a BA screwdriver to walk the gear teeth out of engagement. You don't need to pull the intake.

    A855 - 5 Speed

Geezuz, what do you have to go thru to post anything. Total PITA. I wanted to let you know they used to make speedo adapters which would probably fit your situation. Somewhere I have one made out of aluminum and another out of bakelite. They are kind of a z-shape with a threaded female collar on...

    I made a mistake once, too: I thought I'd made a mistake.

My new to me 1 Ton Dually

Are we looking at the same pic? That looks like typical ball joint front driving axle to me. It looks a little smaller than a 60, too, but I haven't crawled under my 76 for 20yrs.

My new to me 1 Ton Dually

I've had my 01 v10 ram3500 4x4 dually with a service box for about 10 or so years. 10mpg. I only use it for hauling serious loads.

    8 3/4 posi unit change

If you don't have the adjuster, on the right axle shaft, shown in the pic, then I question whether you really have an 8-3/4" axle housing. Furthermore, if you haven't even looked/read some FSM's about setting up axles, perhaps you should postpone this endeavor until you've done some more...

    oil filter size

If you're worried about flow in the WIX, then take your favorite size filter number and add the "XP" suffix to it. It has synthetic filter media and is intended for extended oil change intervals, in other words, it plugs up slower.

    crypto currency investing, anyone?

For those into precious metals, I remember, years ago, that the Hunt(?) bros. tried to cut a fat hog and corner the market on silver. I think this was around the time that silver was critical to processing photographic film. At any rate, they drove the market up artificially by buying it all up...

    crypto currency investing, anyone?

I put all my money in "rolling stock." It works OK, as long as I keep the tires aired up.

Adjustable Rockerarms that Fit Under Factory Valve Covers?

No much of a BB guy. But I know mopar made some cast rockers for some apps. My friend had them on his 413 '62 300. But I can't say they came stock on that particular app. Maybe on the early HP 383's, or RB Stage cars, or some long ram 300 letter cars. I think Isky made some, too.

    coming up long (shift rods)

After you find the proper plate and mount the shifter on it. I've found with my early a-body shifters, the 1/4" drill shank in the shifter levers trick doesn't work with the reverse lever. Maybe I've done something wrong, but I always adjusted the forward gear selection levers with the pin...

    Oil Pan Plug Issue

Thanks for the follow-up. Most of the time, we never hear the end of the story. I'll be ecstatic if it ends up working for you. One of my wild a$$ ideas finally worked?! Hahaha.

    Engine Bay Paint Suggestions

My son had a "murdered-out" Suzuki. It didn't take long before he was tired of that and repainted it. Whenever I'm considering car paint colors, that's one of my first questions to myself: 'Am I going to get tired of looking at this color in a couple of years?'

    Oil Pan Plug Issue

I've seen those work for temporary plugs where you have a leaking soft plug. They can be VERY convenient if the soft plug is in a location which is really hard to replace properly without removing an exhaust manifold, or intake & head, etc They're not ideal, but sometimes they can be a life saver.
