I saw that car at Carlisle by the Indy booth. The workmanship is fantastic and the car is beautifull. I only have 1 complaint. What is the sense in having 1800 hp if you cant put atleast some of it to the ground!!! You could spin those DUBs that he has on there with a warmed over 318 all day long!!! Pro street it and put some tire inder there!!!! :rolleyes: Drifting gets expensive!!!!! :toothy10:
It was my bosses dream to build an animal like this. I think its more for show tho. :snakeman:

Most TT A Body Builds Cut out the WHOLE Inner Fender Well!


I think he is talking about the core support and inner fenders on the 1800HP car....not your car....
 
othing wrong with cuttingthings up that's why they make welders lol

fiberglass would have been lighter than steel though

Got the water pump and damper installed......

I had to make a crank spacer, no big deal I am getting pretty quick at making them. Takes me about 15 Minutes.

I did not boil this one, I heated it up on this plate. It only took about 10 minutes for it to reach 275*

I then lubed the outside hub with some bearing grease and the inside of the hub with some Anti Sieze compound. It went on Real Smooth but it is for sure a really tight fit. There is NO WAY it would go on unless
it was heated up. Brian at IMM threw me the Idea of heating it with a HOT PLATE......... This right here is Backyard Style at its finest. I don't own a heat plate so I made my own!! Made some Tacos with it afterwards!! haaa

Here is a great example of Edelbrocks Quality Control. This intake was not cheap at all either.............

I need to clearance it for the Distributor. The manifold is off lining up to the bolt holes in the heads by about 3/8 to 1/2". It is an easy fix but I really should not need to do this. There is also a need to notch at the runners about 1/4" so the valve covers will sit all the way flat on the gaskets. I notched in this area before on a few other builds. I use to take it off on the valve covers but I think on this one it will look cleaner if I notch just a wee bit on the top of the intake.


Right here where you see the pry bar hitting the manifold is how much it is off by. The pry bar is dead center of the threads in the heads.

Yeah the swiss cheesing of the rad support on the other car! Yours seems done like more cleanly....not that I'm against cutting up a car (mine is minitubbed) and who is really concerned with originality with turboes in the first place lol!
 
My Race Car buddies came over this morning and gave me a bunch of crap because the car is still in the same place when they came over last time.
Sooooo within about 2 Hours we took out the windshield, steering column, heating ducts, heater etc and the whole dash. Next time they show up the cage should be complete!
I am probably going to delete the wiper motor and clean up the firewall in the process. The factory bulk head is history. The wiper motor will be in the way of the dash bar for the cage. I don't like the look of them right at your knees. The pillar bars will go thru the dash and not in front of it to make it look as clean as possible.

These guys are Chevy guys that give me alot of crap for being a MOPAR or NO CAR Guy. We get along great even though it is 2 against one. They gave me alot of crap today so I messed with them back telling the big guy if he didn't shut up I was going to Jaw Check him "all Serious", he is all WHAT?? So I have the BIGGEST BUCK KNIVE you ever saw on my work bench and he has never seen it. I grabbed it and flung it open and he just about **** his pants and started laughing like crazy. The Knive when opened up is about 18" Long in all and makes a wicked sound when it snaps open........ It says "BAD TO THE BONE, on it with paintings of Skulls and stuff. Pretty funny!!

Forgot to mention that all the wiring in this car under the dash and everywhere is totally unmolested and in perfect condition. Nobody ever tapped into anything at all. My buddies were tripping out on how clean this car is.

Well it has been awhile.
I Purchased the Dual Sync Distributor that works with Sequential EFI today along with the complete Bronze Geared hardened shaft Oil Pump drive. They both should be here in the next few days. I will be ordering the Hughes 1.6 Rockers also with their hold downs etc. After that is the Crank Trigger, Ignition Box, Megasquirt III and some wiring to make it complete.
 
Wow, lots of stuff going on since i looked last! So you went with the MSIII huh. I have the MSII board sitting on my desk. I personally couldnt see me needing or being able to see the benefits of the III over the II. I already have the relay board in the car, should be wiring about when you are ready for it too. Cant wait to see your progress, good luck with it all!
