70 Dart barn find

Look inside panels or use a torch and scrape some undercoating to find the original color. I'd be curious.
 
Nice build! I still miss my '70 Dart Swinger "H" code car....Will be watching this for sure!

inner trunk extension,otter wheel tub, rear quarter with body work done where it was pieced together. and quarter with gas filler tube back in. Now on to doing the prep work on this side

Great job Barry, welcome to the 70 Swinger 340 club! I just got mine running today & washed the slime off it...

Curious on the original color too, you must know by now? FE5 I assume

Should be quite a few 70 Swingers cruising around these parts this year!

NEED MEASUREMENTS FOR HOLES TO MOUNT DART SWINGER EMBLEMS ?????? i FORGOT TO GET THEM OFF THE OLD QUARTER (SOB) ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME OUT WITH A FEW MEASUREMENTS ?????....................... THANKS
 
I'd be happy to measure if mine had the emblems.

had to look at front end, looks exactly like the 1 i got stole from storage 27 years ago lucky man what a find mine had 3 on the colum auto and it screamed

your gonna have some fun in that 1
 
OK, I'd have thought someone else would have answered by now. Here is from an original 70 Swinger quarter. I would think you could work with just the holes I'm giving you, but if you need the other holes, I can measure them too. Drill these, line up the emblem and it should give you the others. Especially since some of the repop emblems don't have as many holes, and I don't know what you have:

Driver's side:

Dart emblem: left hole (of 2): 11 7/16" in from the door jam
3" down from top of the quarter right above that.

Swinger emblem: leftmost hole (of 4): 14 7/8" in from door jam
5 1/4" down from top of quarter
rightmost hole (of 4): 20 5/16" in from door jam
4 1/4" down from top of quarter

And when I say the top of the quarter, I mean the ledge at the top, where I hung the end of the tape measure from in order to measure down to the hole. By door jam, since it curves, I mean hanging the tape measure end straight to the left of the hole.

The Dart emblem holes are 3" down from the top of the 1/4 panel. The hole in the "D" is 11 7/16 from the front of the 1/4, hole in the "t" is 15 3/16 from the front of the 1/4 (3 3/4 pin to pin)

Holes in the Swinger emblem are; top hole in the "S" is 3 1/4 down & 16 9/16 from front of 1/4 panel, bottom hole in the "S" is 5 1/4 down & 14 7/8 from 1/4 panel, 3 3/8 down to hole in flower & 18 1/8 from 1/4 panel. 4 1/4 (remeasured, lol, edit) & 20 5/16 from front of 1/4 for the hole in the "r"

Hey, and you know what's the best? You have instant confirmation there of accuracy, as we measured exactly the same :)
 
Ya, I saw the post, went out & measured (no replies yet), typed out the measurements hit submit & it had logged me out so I had to log back in & retype it! posted & two posts lol, all good confirmation is good, like you say 72Dodge (I have one car with emblems on & one without, got me excited for a few to get my car going!)
