Dart vs 1000hp Supra heads up.

So here is the next big race. Barona 1/8 raceway put these races on about three times a year and they are the best out of three heads up, pro tree. He is alot faster than I but he is a stick and its a pro tree. So we will see if I can chop down the tree and say **** you. If you live in So Cal area you should really check this out only ten bucks and very fast imports vs fast domestic. Should be cool as hell.

Good luck Shane! It should be fun. If he's at 1000hp and gets up on the boost in time for the 1/8th, I'd want you to win, but as a betting man, I'd keep my wallet in my pocket for this one :).

Thanks i will do my best. He is alot faster than me in time but a stick with a protree. He will be busy at the line.
 
My money says you're in trouble... a 2JZ will spool a large charger pretty quick, I'd still drive your car way before that one though....

... have you looked at how cheap ya can pick up a used nitrous kit??
 
I am a N/A guy all the way. Here is what I am banking on. We are running a pro tree, and he has stick. I am not new to playing the racing game so what i am going to do is, burnout, and then pre stage his *** right away. Then as soon as he lights the top light i am going to stage. This means he has to roll in, set the line lock, floor it, and come up on boost, before the light flashes. When it flashes "he has a stock style clutch" then dump the clutch when the light flashes. Now I know that many people here can do this and do it well. I am hoping he can't. Also he is a full-time street racer and a very part time track racer, which has only really seen a multi tree 0.500 light. I know that these are all very little things in the grand scheme but **** adds up. My set up is rock solid been done a thousand times with nothing exotic, Coan tans brake, in a 727 with a Deadenbear button. **** gets done quickly at the line. I am good for a 0.040-0.060 seconds reaction on a 4 tenths tree. I am not a pro but good enough.

I agree with everything that everyone posted here; on paper numbers to numbers he will kill me. But that is what makes this match race **** sweet as hell is that it not about numbers, it’s about drivers. Maybe the Californian sun and surf has got me coo coo but I bet him 500 bucks on this race. I will post a facebook link if I can. Yeah it’s not a huge bet but enough to make it a little more fun.

Well thats really unsure, but when he was at Las Vegas he was running 10.10 at 137mph, this was his fastest time all weekend. I run about 10.20 at 131 at Vagas. Hes is at 108mph in the 1/8 and I am at 105. I had a buddy that was up there a few weeks ago and was spying on him when he was racing at that all import race up there. I have a video of it just need to find it and will post it.

Nice, good luck! can you squeeze another tenth elsewhere just in case? pull a alt belt, or a 2nd battery?

I might consider trying to burn him down rather than rush him to the beams. Does push his car up through the lanes, or drive it? If he's a pusher, take every possible opportunity to force him to build heat. That 1000 horsepower becomes 200 when the knock sensor is sucking all the timing out of it.
 
According to the ET he is not making no where close to 1000 hp. maybe 700.

That's a hell of an Idea. I really know NOTHING about turbo cars other than how they work, but not how to mess with them. So him up on the the boost will build extra heat, that's good to know. By the way this is being televised and then sold. But I will get it and post to you-tube so you will see the whole thing. I will also have go-pros everywhere.

I agree but they did a dyno session in Vegas and I saw the video of that. Sure as **** 1002hp to the tires. But we all know that dyno numbers mean nothing because we are not racing the computer.
 
A NA 10.10 at vegas is comparable to a 9.80 at sea levelish DA.

Not sure how the boost cars are affected by the DA. The Difference may not be the usual .3 et.

Play a little dirty if autostart is on, doublebulb him.
 
anymore weight to lose on your car? Reaction time may be where its at then. Boost car should pick up a little more at sea level, compared to in Vegas, I would suspect.
