Mopars in Vegas 2015

-
This Valiant was in 1 of the tents & won 1st Place in the Ultimate Mopar Category...Spectacular build w/ incredible mods & attention to detail IMO.

It was cool to see an A-Body take out some serious Mopar competition

Cool pic's 6pk! Thanks for sharing! Did you see any Hellcats burning down the 1/4 mile? Just curious to hear some real track times?

Thanks for posting your pics, C! Great seeing both of you at MATS again this year.
All those A-bodies look so familiar 'cause I parked 'em all both Friday and Saturday!
The red '59 Belvedere in your racing pics belongs to one of our Inland Mopars club members. He runs low/mid 11s with 8-stack injected big-block power. Here's some pics of his other car that was at MATS competing for "Ultimate Mopar":

Now, let me hear from y'all that say you wouldn't be caught dead driving a PT Cruiser! How about an "ET Cruiser"?
It was my pick for "Ultimate Mopar"...

Inland Mopars Car Club members had 5 cars in the show at MATS and came home with 5 awards. Not bad for our little ol' club.

Thanks alley...There were quite a few Hellcats in attendance as they were allowed in free. I didn't spend a lot of time in the stands watching the drag racing this year, but there were several runs in the mid~upper 11's if I remember correctly.

Dodge had a huge area setup with free Hellcat rides that was WAY cool. Side by side rides in a Hellcat or Viper with a Christmas tree. I'm guessing they started out in 2nd gear, but it was FUN & FAST for a short burst 8) The return ride on the course was a slalom setup with cones. I was smiling HUGE :D

I was told there were also a couple of Hellcat Charger's there, but I didn't get a chance to see them or take any pics....:eek:ops:

Ken, Thanks SO much for posting pics of the PT Cruiser. I never made it over there to take a good look & don't think I even got pics of it #-o

It was great to see you again too!! I think that was 2X in a month LOL :D

Glad you had some good Vegas weather, I froze one year bringing shorts, it was like 50 with 30 mph winds. That desert cruise would have made my week.

The Dodge display area had a huge assortment of airbrushed tattoos to pick from for free so we thought it would be fun :)

I can see now y'all had to much fun :D
It would be so cool to meet ocdart :glasses7: our nhra and nascar key holder :glasses7:

Great pictures C!! That valiant was definitely a nice ride. I got a few pictures to share as well. This 70 Roadrunner was one sweet ride. Also got some pictures of two beautiful Demons sitting next to each other :burnout: And a few of a Hellcat Charger that showed up. There was another black one sitting next to it.

Great show as always:cheers: What did you guys think of the Hellcat vs Tesla shootout? I am not a very big fan of electric / hybrid cars but you have to be impressed how hard that car left while running in the 11's . And how about Brett Torino and his 71 Hemi collection x 4 :coffee2: Can't wait to next year!

Dave,

on my bucketlist. just fly from here or Tulsa, tickets should be pretty cheap to Vegas, cheap rooms, about the only Major event I've never been to.

NO such thing as "too much fun"!! Yes Ken is a cool guy & we chatted several times this weekend. Too bad I couldn't get him to help detail my car :protest: haha just kidding

 Thanks for posting those pics. That RR is gorgeous & I missed getting pics of it on Friday night at The Cannery. I missed a lot of cars....there were SO many nice ones!! :)

thanks for sharing the event.

cant stop drooling over this one. Absolute perfection with the slant six and everything about it, except it could use some factory rally wheels but what a sweet car.

What a great shot of Tony's car...Somebody has a really nice camera & a preferred standing area with unobstructed views :poke:

Thanks for the pics HD....Great to see 'ya again. Fun weekend!!!!! :D

It was my second time attending mats. I love it, and those hellcats are to die for... I had a blast getting those free rides in the hellcat and viper

Yes, the weather was warm & we've been there when it was freezing like you mention too. This was much better...:)

The Cruise from Phoenix was 1 of the highlights of my weekend. Great group of people & a nice assortment of Mopars. Come join us 1 of these years. The # of cruisers seems to grow every year....8)

Dave,

Dave, Yes GREAT show!!! I missed the shootout darn it :banghead: There was just so much to see & do that you have to pick & choose & some things slip by....

You won't regret it if you decide to attend. The nice thing about the Vegas show is the activities don't end when the track closes. The evening concerts at The Cannery, along with car shows there on Friday & Saturday nights are great additions to the MATS experience. The only problem is there is little time for sleeping.

Thanks for posting....

Dave,

This was the quickest pass for the Hellcat so far. Brett Torino has an awesome collection. The last time I was at his "warehouse" he must have had over a dozen original Hemi cars, along with all the other rare and collectable cars. He even had the Cuda from the show "Nash Bridges".

Glad everyone had a great time. And thanks to all that attend. 13 years and counting.
The Hellcats ran in the mid to low 11's depending on the driver.Funny how they had to ask if anyone wanted a ride in the Vipers. Most waited for the Hellcat first then the Viper ride. The white Viper had a cool chick driving and she really thru that thing around the cones.

I thought I saw a Hellcat crack the 10's,Thanks for the photo !!!!!!!

HD you take the best shots, looking foward to your photo shoot posts.

You're welcome Rainy & glad you like the pics. Yes, that Duster was a really clean green machine.

Here's some more pics from the show field for 'ya :)
