I have a mopar cam and lifter set new from 97 I think thats how long I've had it ?
So I want to get a bigger comp hydraulic cam and use the mopar lifters.
I don't see how it would be a problem ?

Not a problem as long as the cam doesn't go flat and you try to get warranty. LOL

I wouldn't blame you using something other than Comp lifters. They have had their issues from what I have heard.

I don’t see a problem either.

If bigger comp cam is XE274HL or larger your .904 lifters will be sad that they are underutilized

Not bein smart here.......but why would there be a problem as long as both are new? Just wondering what your thoughts are.

My thoghts are , I've always bought cams in a kit, accept with a solid lifter.
I know about rhoads lifters.
I just wondered if there is any reason unknown to me to use matched manufacturer sets ?

Absolutely no reason at all as long as all parts are new. It is entirely possible that the matched set of cam and lifters you buy from Comp, Crane and the like are made by different companies anyway, so I wouldn't sweat it.

If the Comp Cam recommends the anti-pump-up lifters, than no, you shouldn't. There's a very good chance the performance will be decreased when the Mopar lifters lose it. If the Comp Cam lists the std lifters with an option of anti-pump-up, then you can do it.

I am running a Mopar 509 Purple cam with Hyd lifters and have not had any issues. My components were all new going together..
