i agree. Long videos with too much information are tiresome to watch.
Most people want clear and concise information that is relevant.
if i am looking for a solution to a problem, i really dont want a 25 minute video telling me the history of internal combustion engines.

Dang I didn't know there was an artic blast heading down the east/Midwest this week. I feel lucky to be at 51 degrees F
was cold here yesterday mid 50's today. WTF?
I thought it rained up there almost every day?? My wife spent six weeks in Seattle one summer. Rained almost every day.
Oh thanks for the reminder. This one is in and out in a couple days. I can handle that. The ones that linger for a couple weeks and lows are -10 I don't like.

So im thinking i want to change a few things as far as my shop/ business goes.
Im raising my rate for oil changes,labor is not enough for proper inspections.Basically im charging for 20 minutes,but spending 40 minutes or more.
I understand im looking for more work through the inspections,but newer vehicles rarely need anything.

It can rain for months straight, but it actually does better on Whidbey Island because it's in the rain shadow of Mt. Olympus out on the Olympic Peninsula. We get about half of the rain Seattle does, that's why the Naval Air Station is here.
That makes sense to me, add value in the new rate with "19 point inspection" or however many, would think customers would go for that.

My guy charges me $30 for an oil change. He buys his oil bulk and the price includes the disposal. His shop rate is $70 an hour.
Oh boy another reason for the sand crawlers to gather and drink...

I have been super busy as a result of deer season, our range has been swamped. You know, the guys that pull their rifle out of the closet shoot 1/2 dozen rounds to sight in, utilizing terrible mechanics then blame their ammo/rifle/scope etc etc. They sight in and head to the deer woods!
Yes Happy Birthday to all of the Devil Dogs, I'll give my son a shout, he finished his tour about 3 years ago, now he's a Junior at U of W.

I went with a friend to look at a machinist shop with things for sale. OH MY GOODNESS! 7 Bridgeport milling machines. All the lathes are gone. A big power drill press. surface grinders...a big hack saw, And what do I fall in love with? A Wisconsin powered Lincoln welder. with the heads off. I must be sick.
