Does anyone know if they make a press fit connecting rod for the 360? My machine shop wants $260 to redo mine plus add ARP bolts.
That's what I'm wanting to do. My NOS forged pistons are press fit so I'll need press fit rods. I just wasnt sure if anyone in the aftermarket made them$313 new, weight matched, 500hp capable.

Still be close cost wise compared to new rodsI'm sure someone on this site has a set of reconditioned connecting rods, put a "Wanted ad" out there & then buy the ARP bolts & install them yourself. Then have your local machine shop install you pistons.
The pistons don't have a groove/slot for a locking ring. The wrist pin technically floats in the piston but I have to use a Press fit style rodIf you have press fit pistons and press fit rods won't that lock up the rod to the piston?
Or is it that "press fit pistons" is just what they are called because they are designed for a press fit rod?
For me its $260 for what they call "Rod Prep"Had my rods resized and magd for $12.00 each. $80.00 for the bolts.
.983What is the piston wrist pin size?
I checked it quick with my caliper and then again with the michPin size for small. 984
Think I may just go stroke kit and be done! What not convert? Pressed to float?
Oops, linkee no workeeGo here http://www.2040-parts.com/dodge-340-360-rods-eagle they have a set that are half of retail. They are looking to get them off of their shelf.
