Does anyone know if they make a press fit connecting rod for the 360? My machine shop wants $260 to redo mine plus add ARP bolts.

I'm sure someone on this site has a set of reconditioned connecting rods, put a "Wanted ad" out there & then buy the ARP bolts & install them yourself. Then have your local machine shop install you pistons.

Still be close cost wise compared to new rods

Refurbished OEM Connecting Rod compatible with 318 360 Mopar engines. Look for them on Amazon, $291.84 for all 8 & free shipping. Eagle has a set PN SIR6123CP that are press pin, also.

If you have press fit pistons and press fit rods won't that lock up the rod to the piston?

Or is it that "press fit pistons" is just what they are called because they are designed for a press fit rod?

The pistons don't have a groove/slot for a locking ring. The wrist pin technically floats in the piston but I have to use a Press fit style rod

I checked on the aftermarket rods. Both Scat and Eagle make them but they're both out of stock....but they do have tons of Chevy rods in stock

Thoses Eagle i beams had bad rep some years back is this still the case?

It was when they were expected to exceed there rated HP performance level they failed in a spectacular way IIRC. (Always worth double checking that....)
Again, IIRC, there 400 hp rated?
