Straight up liability protection there. Brought to you by the litigious society we live in.
Just because you wear a mask doesn't mean you won't be infected in some other way that isn't related one bit to that mask. Yet someone will point to the mask that it wasn't effective or whatever.
One of the sales rep at an electrical shop I buy from just got over covid. Her suggestion, do whatever you can to avoid getting it.

Just got email report directly from Mayo Clinic on study of effectiveness of masks. Their results show both paper medical masks or 2 layer cloth masks were effective in reducing risk of exposure.

I do what I can to avoid it myself I have a young daughter at home. When I leave or get home I wash my hands. I wear my mask wherever I go inside that requires one. I’ve been practicing social distancing my whole life. I make hydraulic tubes for a living at a place just the owner and I. I’m lucky I don’t have to be in a high risk environment. I’m more than ready for places to be open around my town.
No doubt, I'll be happy when things are normalized again.

...but you're shooting yourself in the foot. By refusing to be forced to wear a mask you are forced to stay outside. Compliance will make the people around you more comfortable.

Wearing masks is trying to give you the illusion you have some control over the contagion. Nothing more. I deal with the public so I wear a mask. I've done dumber things for worse reasons.
Try the mask trick with the straps around the ears and not holding tight against your cheeks. I think you'll see a different result.

Ya he reinvented himself. Mechanical Engineering degree from Cornell University, He was a design engineer at Boeing for 9 years and as of 2020 has a net worth of 8 million. Say what you want about the guy he's not stupid.
