An old guy down the street from me is thinking about putting his 96 (I think) Dodge Truck 4x4, Cummings up for sale. Sits quite high but stock height from the factory. It's a neat truck with around 225km on it. Had it since new and now close to giving up his license.
If I was looking for a truck I'd jump at it

Going to be 70 tomorrow then we start getting some of that Northern crap down here. We are just on the edge of the front. In the 30s in Dallas.

Been a gorgeous day today. Bit chilly at first then warmed up to around -5 but nice and sunny. Went out for a walk before lunch and was a beautiful walk. Shoveled the driveway and sidewalks. It was light and fluffy snow so just plowed it with the shovel. Was thinking about going out again this afternoon but then kids started phoning so put a damper on that plan. Dulled down now and will be cold tonight though.
To cold here to go for a walk today I'm getting soft in my old age but 10* F below right now and with the wind chill it's 50* F below and temp is doping and wind is not stopping anytime soon so gonna stay in the house or garage for a few more days. lol

Bout the same here
I went out yesterday to replace a "timed" halogen light with a "dusk till dawn" LED
I figured this was a perfect time, because it's mounted to the back of a shed which overlooks the pond, and with the pond being frozen, it would be a piece of cake to get the ladder up there

Buy what a miserable expedition that was
I failed to tie my boots so within minutes I had snow in them
Of course it was so cold I couldn't feel my fingers

I just got to go out there tonite to properly aim them, but it all came out well

Welcome to what cold feels like and when it gets to 20 below there is not a lot of difference between that and your 100* dry heat only difference is that I can put on another coat and you can only take so much off. lol

I put my snow mobile outfit on today just to get the garbage can off the street and back in the yard. lol

I’d rather deal with the heat. Can stand the cold. I’m to far North.
I don't know I been down your way in the heat when I drove semi and just about killed me trying to get out of the truck to pump fuel in the truck. But when your at 40* I can come there and get out of the truck in a T shirt and shorts.
Just what were use to I guess.

I never got into snowmobiling
Just can't justify the cost for something I can only use 3 months out of the year

I do have some studded tires for my dirtbikes though

Like you I like a dirt bike much better and rode one for many years I'm not much into snow mobiles but my kids had snow mobiles years ago and still have a suit that I use to go for a walk in winter.

Pretty much the same here, colder tomorrow.

Got that light adjusted...I did not like walking on that ice
I tried staying in yesterday's footsteps and of course I was splashing as I walked

Ice is 3' thick here on the lakes you can drive your plow truck on it without splashing. lol
This was last week

Its not the ice that worries me, its the snow
It seems to act as a blanket where the bottom layer of the snow melts, and doesn't freeze to the top of the ice
