What Non mopar mechanic work are you doing

I LOVE it. You should post a sign a ways inside the gate saying, "The gate is closing and locking. Now you can deal with my friends Smith and Wesson.

Nothing lasts forever you know.
Chances are they probably bought a new gas can and there was plastic residue in it or using an old gas can that has dirt in the bottom. Should always check the inside of a gas can periodically and look for dirt. It just might avoid a repair bill and valuable down time
 
I did some convertible top work this past weekend on my 86 Fox body Mustang GT. It wasn't too bad it just takes time and patience. Its that specialty work where its hard to find people to do it affordably so I do it myself. A friend of mine paid 3 grand to get his 68 Chevy top done, I think that's steep.

I have a 1994 ford ranger that has a fuel cutting out problem while driving.
Also have an 04 kia xg350 with a crank but no start problem.

I became a Ford five-time Master mechanic I also work on Peterbilt trucks Mack trucks and international trucks

Did a starter relay on my Ducati the other day. Replacing well nuts with 1/4 turn dzus fasteners on the fairing.

A little more work on Aunt "B", cast iron is great to paint, the rough texture hides little mishaps. A tuff time finding paper gaskets, most that I received have shrunk beyond use, maybe a soak in water? IDK

Not mechanic work but retirement allows me to get on the body/paint on my Comet project.

First it is down to bare metal and inspection and cleaning-----------
Then a good heavy coat of epoxy primer-----------------

Then scuff with 320 to air out and a heavy coat of urethane sandable primer-----------

I seam sealed the hood and deck to help them hold position during blocking and cut/buff----

Built new wood shed over weekend. The only reason the old one was still standing was because there was firewood piled in it lmao

I worked on my ladies Mercedes SUV GLE450 needed new air springs. 355$ rock auto, quote from her mechanic 1600$. Dustin
 
Been working on finishing my boys rat rod Model A. Almost finished with the floor.

1972 AMC Javelin. 360 auto on floor. Sitting since '95. Gentleman who owns turns 60 this year and his sons reached out to get it going for him as a surprise.

Ways to go, but have all the stuff. Just need time. Front wheels are just for moving it around, i have matching slots for the front. It is my boys car and he wants to out some miles on it before deciding on how much to chop it. We have some cool plans for little things. It has suicide doors, 460, C6, and 9" with 4 link and coil overs. Engine came from his grandpa before he passed so he insisted on using it.

It is a great starting point. My boy and I built my 27 Rat Rod years ago, and he is 20 now and we are just finishing his. He will likely want a bunch of changes over time, but it has been fun and soon he will be driving it.

Nice to hear a 20yo is interested. And the connection to his grandpa is great. I hope he drives the wheels off that thing.

Yes he is interested for sure. He drove my jalopy all through high school. Every day it wasn't raining, school, work, errands, etc. Had a ball. Now he will have his and we can cruise. Someday he will have my Demon as well. Then, my jalopy we built together, his we built together with his grandpa's motor, and my Demon which my Dad (his other grandpa) bought new and I found 4 years ago. He will have lots of history available. Couldn't all go anywhere better than my Boy.
