Coke.

I like root beer, but I can't drink it anymore -there's something in it that irritates my throat and makes me cough. Same thing with wintergreen flavor and original Crest toothpaste:???:

As an occasional pop drinker, my all time favorite is Graf's 50/50. For the dark stuff, it's Caffeine free regular Coke. We do stock up on the Mexican Coke when it comes around. Real sugar. It has that same kind of snap for me as it did back in the 70's when I was a kid plus, these days, it mixes well with Southern Comfort. For the flavored pop, we get the local microbreweries pop or Sun Drop - Orange, Black Cherry, Lime. Real sugar again. Yeah, real sugar and all that jazz. Like anything, moderation is fine. A little less High Fructose Corn syrup is a good thing.

Pepsi in a glass bottle tastes the best, but it's got to be the mexican style which still uses the real sugar recipe instead of that corn syrup crap.

Soda was meant to be distributed in glass bottles not plastic and aluminum!:banghead:

Really prefer the taste of Diet Coke. However, after reading up on Aspartame, DC is what I get when I go out and want a cola. In the meantime, I'm trying to get used to Diet Rite pure zero cola. All it has is a little bit cola flavor. It's kind of gross, but it avoids cals, phenylalanines, caffeine, and sodium.

For real gross-ness try a Black Russian; 2/3 prune juice, 1/3 vodka. Get a high and a bowel cleansing at home without a trip to the doctor. :rambo:

from what the choices were I picked Coke, but I quit drinking soda years ago and drink WATER as my drink of choice.

I do have a soft drink every so often, but it is usually a fresh made root beer at small drive ins that still make it daily.

Maybe few times a year I'll have a coke.

Diet Dr. Pepper, regular and Cherry.... I liked the Diet Cherry Vanilla but they stopped making it.

We have a Pepsi here called Pepsi Throwback which uses natural sugar and IMHO it is so much better than the Pepsi using corn syrup. The problem is that not many stores stock it. I agree with the bottle too, it always seemed to be the best way to enjoy a soft drink.

Pepsi here, i always buy that unless i'm at a restaurant then i'll take what they have, i'm not that fussy about fountain pop as i am with bottled. Yes, and glass bottles are way superior to plastic or canned.
They don't put beer in plastic bottles, that should tell you something.

I'm a Pepper!:love7:

In Atlanta it has to be Coke, it was invented here. It is much better when it's made with real cane sugar, as it is in Mexico and Central America.

Also, down there Fresca isn't a diet soda, it's made with real sugar, it's great with rum.

Dr. Pepper is good too, used to be a treat when I was a little kid.
