FAIL right out of the package.

LIke the old 76 Duster I bought a couple years ago. The oem ECU had ALL the back side insulation melted away long ago, but it ran perfect. I bought a new ECU to carry for a spare. OK... I should find another old 50 year old ECU to carry for a SPARE!! :steering:  :BangHead...

Searching for 12v switched power after ditching ballast and installing aftermarket electronic ignition

Im trying to locate a proper wiring diagram for the ignition switch for 1977 as I only have one for 1976, and I know the ignition switch and starter relay changed in 1977. The reason it may SEEM I am overcomplicating this is because IGN1 (the blue wire) is ran just as mentioned here, and also as...

    Enlarging PRP doesn't always help

Catching up on parts of this interesting post that I read on the run yesterday. I have a little different thinking on helping guys. I’m a self taught head porter that has probably every book out on head porting and never read one. I do have a copy of a Chevy head porting book that is dumbed down...

    Nicks Garage 383 build

Your post compelled me to go watch it--Damn you Dwayne-lol. Yes Nick has a VERY nice looking Rottler-SGM but I have only seen it in his videos once or maybe twice. After watching it-Nick seems to be thinking the seats are sunk, but I cant imagine resurfacing .020" off the decks and not doing...

    How did I do

I call them good projects if they have frame rails!!!! Rusted away frame rails scares some of us Southern boys! I fixed only one in the last 76 years.

    PCV Plumbing with Torqstorm supercharger

Nope - not that old... It completely makes sense that they can't be hooked up to the intake - It just didn't cross my mind until afterwards and noticing the oil collection. The right solution will be figured out and implemented soon.

A body big block back to small block

See about hooking up with @chargers777 who's looking to go B/RB in a '73 Duster, no locale in the sig, so don't know if a swap is feasible or not.....

What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Thank you. The seat is a super low-mile unit out of my wife's Pacifica. I put a like-new set of "Red-Line" option seats I found into it. They look great with the Destroyer-Gray exterior.

Slant 6 timing help- Torqstorm and Sniper EFI

I have not opened ring gap. As of now, the whole head and bottom end are completely stock. I have read about opening ring gap before but was hoping that with the relatively low boost numbers I was expecting, it wouldn't be an issue. I do expect at some point to likely do a bottom end rebuild...

If you click that General Spring link it’ll make your wallet cry. I don’t know how they differ from the Eaton’s but the General Spring 120’s and 130’s are $174! That’s like 2018 prices!

Am I crazy or is this project Duster way overpriced?

Its like the guys that swear their car only has 26,833 miles because that is what shows on the odometer! But there is surface rust and rust that took out the frame, but I agree... Rust is still rust. Heck, I am so old, I remember when no one wanted a original 340 Duster because it was a...

Is my ring gap too large?

Agree. It will be fine. But understand there is a reason that the gap is wider than spec. Likely, the bore is larger than spec, buy about 0.003". Your piston to wall is probably 0.005 - 0.006", verses 0.002 - 0.0025". Not a problem with your forged pistons, and good on a performance...

Torsion and leaf. I forgot to mention I upgraded to the 1.03 from PST and would consider them the baseline of TB’s for modern radial tires. If you are using a 14” wheel or a skinny front tire (drag or cruiser) then sub-1” bars would be sufficient but if you have a 15” wheel with say, 225/60-15...
