I have a 440 stroked to a 493 that is 10.5 to 1 compression and running a comp solid roller cam. It has an MSD distributor, ignition system and MSD high torque starter. I believe timing is set at 36 or 38 degrees and the distributor is locked out. The motor runs great and hasn't had any...

    Problem with reproduction steel wheels

...problems. Just saying. If I had to guess, maybe the screw-in studs are not properly seated in the back of the axles, and/or not installed at 90* to the flanges. Or maybe; by any chance are you running a manual trans and/or a high-compression engine? and/or Cal-Tracs? and/or Zero Brake...

    1966 Barracuda door latch issue

I was able to get the latch free by going from inside the door and using a long flathead screw driver and a hammer to lightly tap on the rotary star to free it up. Soaked it with Gibbs penetrant and now it works perfect.

    timing tape glue

I had prior thought about just useing it as a ruler with a paint stick as I only need a few measurements (initial/total & a few numbers on either side of that} but I am going to glue the hell out of this one. RR

    timing tape glue

I never liked those crazy tapes. Mopar gave us the measurements years ago so I would measure over and mark say 34 and 36 total with a white paint stick. Now with already marked ATI dampers I mark 36 and go off of that. I love white paint sticks and mark a lot of stuff with them. Buy a new water...

    Carter 4640SA Date Code Question

If it's a 69 car with a 71 carburetor? If the date code reads like Murray was talkin about. Also the SA suffix like HemiSSDart said. The SA is aftermarket, like the old Carter Competition carburetors.

    Problem with reproduction steel wheels

I never paid attention to the fronts to be honest, to see if the lug nut area deflected while torquing the lug nuts. I never found any lug nuts loose retorquing them after driving the car. That’s why I question the material gauge. Behind the big block there’s a good bit going against them when I...

What is the green light for on the rear of NHRA Pro stock cars?

That's on there so they know they have the data acquisition system turned on. They flip a switch at the back to turn it on. Not turning it on just wastes a run because you have no data to work with for the next run. Tom
