How is the condition on the chrome? Can't tell if it's lightly pitted or if that's dust? Would you say it's in perfect condition?

360 stalls on deceleration from throttle blip

Are you talking about my rpm’s fluctuating 30? I didn’t mean timing. It moves around between 800 and 830 rpm

HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO REPLACE MY 67 BARRACUDA DOOR HANDLES

And don't leave out the sheet plastic that's between the door panel and the door. That's a moisture barrier, keeps moisture off the door panels, and keeps them from warping. Found that out the hard way back in my misspent youth.

Bob's Component Resto Part 36: Dusty gets a new motor, chapter one.

Here's the latest, guys. Block is back from the machine shop, slightly bored but mostly just a good cleanup on the cylinder walls. No need to deck the top as it was very flat and smooth. Here are more pix of the block prior to assembly and painting. It's a very good core, high nickel content and...

360 stalls on deceleration from throttle blip

Because you didn’t NEED all that timing at idle. Most engines don’t. If you are getting a 30 degree swing in timing (that’s 60 total or is it 15 each way for 30 ??) you need to fix that. Sometimes running one weak spring will do that. Almost always 2 week springs will make the timing move all...

Rods in my Head, Part 2

Latest update: The head has come back from the machine shop for the Dart engine that's going into my car. I believe that I've found the final piece of wire in my cylinder head - which I extracted, of course. I could only see a small portion through the thermostat hole, so I grabbed it with a...

1964, 1965 or 1966 Barracuda ? Cant seem to find what I need to on the VIN! .

Well, it's not a 66, has to be 64 or 65. It does have 64 Valiant front fenders (at least the one I can see), which would not be correct for a 64 or 65 Barracuda. 64 Valiant front fenders are different than 64 Barracuda front fenders, which are the same as the 65 Barracudas and Valiants. The...

    Oil Light comes on.

I had a cheap one that leaked. Before I had a chance to replace it, it grounded internally and turned the light on. So I found an NOS Chrysler switch on evilbay.

I finally got my hood painted.

A few weeks ago, I posted a thread that basically said, “oh no what have I done?”. I had about six flaws in my hood, so I decided to fix the flaws, sand it down prime it and repaint it. I had some paint left over from where I painted my car. I finally got it done. It came out pretty good.
