We spend a lot of time in the US also and own a second home in the suburbs of Atlanta GA. I own a few American motors, including this ‘65 Dart GT with a 273...

How to Bench Test Wiper Motor?

Afternoon! Since I am pretty weak in all things electrical, I figured I would ask help before blowing up my wiper motor. I want to bench test it. I have a 12 volt power source. When I took off the car forever ago and labeled the wires and in the pic the wires to the right went to the AC...

    Thinking about 2 changes

IIRC only the six cyl 5th Aves came with 7.25. It's the "second best" axle swap for an A after the 65-67 B body 8.75.

Oil pump drive shaft and gear installation?

Depends on which bushing was used. If it's "MOST" aftermarket bushings, they are sized so when they are installed they don't require burnishing. If it's the Chrysler bushing or "a few" of the aftermarket bushings, it will need sizing with the burnishing tool. He's just gonna have to try it and...

    Small block w/ 3.79 crank

You had previously mentioned about buying that set of BRC pistons that are listed in the for sale section. Those use a 6.123" x .984" rod with a 3.79" stroke crank. That set of pistons are about half price of what any new set cost today. Tom

Oil Rings, do I have a problem?

The oil pan was off and engine covered with plastic. It seems to have been residual oil inside the block, maybe some of what was still up in the heads when I rolled it over. So, not much concern over the oil coming out of the cylinder?

I timed my 56 Plymouth with a GTech not long after I got it. 277 poly, four barrel carb, dual exhaust, Powerflite trans and 200 gross horsepower. Ran 18.60. Now I didn't expect it to be fast, but I thought it shouldn't be THAT slow. So, pulled the right side exhaust pipe from the exhaust...
