Common wheels to tow a ‘64 Barracuda

i'd scare up some 5x4 to 5x4.5 wheel adapters and then hit the yard and get a pair of spares off like a jeep or something. 5x4.5 opens up A LOT more wheel and tire size options and if you don't want/need the adapters and spares after the trip you could probably sell them for like 1/2 of what...

275/60/15 sidewall clearance to leaf spring clamps- suggestions?

Just my personal opinion. I don't like spacers, adapters, or anything that fits between the wheel and hub. Nothing but wheel. If you're having fitment issues, I urge you to get the correct backspacing.

    Wheel adapters?

What are the stock lug dimentions of a 64 Barracuda? Are they 5 x 4? and do adapters work to change them to a 5 x 4.5?

    Alignment Help

Use an adapter that attaches directly to the spindle. You need to remove the dust cap and the hub cap on your wheel. Screw on the adapter and attach your magnetic mount gauge. Longacre Racing Products 52-78414 Longacre Caster Camber Gauge Adapters | Summit Racing

    Wheel adapter studs?

To each their own, but a properly constructed wheel adaptor is perfectly safe if properly maintained (check the damn lug nut torque).

    Wheel adapter studs?

Agree, but as you well know, there's a pretty big difference between adapters and spacers. Ran nines with homemade billet spacers, I doubt I would try that with adapters..... (And yes, I would check ALL the lugs periodically, not just the ones with spacers)

1968 Dodge Dart GT Sleeping Beauty?

Wheel adapters/spacers pushed wheels out about 2”. The tires almost touch the top of the wheel arches. After a call to Moser they will drill my axles to 5 x 4.5 plus plug the holes and drill my brake drums for $300. One day turnaround and ship them back to Virginia. More than fair in my opinion...

OK, maybe you have the 5.5 large bolt pattern back in behind your spacers? I was going to try to use 5.5 to 4.5 spacer wheel adapters. But even the center hole of the adapters was 1/8" too small. Found the '95 Ford aluminum wheels and made them work. Cleaned up the stock steel rims and...

    [SOLD] Wheel spacer adapters

I have a pair of wheel spacer adapters that have been in a box for years. I believe I got these that came with a car I bought but had already been changed to the big bolt pattern. They are the 5x4" SBP to 5x4.5" BBP adapters. I measure them at roughly 7/8" thick and they are made of aluminum...

    Wheel Adapters

...did not . I bought a set of Keystone Klassics in the uni lug pattern for my sbp Dart just figured I'd use the adapters. The wheel adapters for the 4" to 4 1/2" are 1" thick . When installed on my Dart with the wheels they stick out almost a 1/2" to far and will rub the lips on the fender...

    Wheel Adapters

I used hub centric 6061 billet adapters on this car to be able to use Bullit rims back in the early 2000's, NEVER had an issue with them over 8 years. they were 3/4" thick, the wheels had a pocket behind the spokes between the lug holes which allowed the lugnuts to the car to sit in....they...

wheel Question tire help 72 DEMON

yeah, bolt on adapters will be at least 3/4" thick (1" thick if you want the original wheelstuds to not stick past the adapters, you need a pocket in the wheel to run 3/4" thick ones). that will effectively add 1.5-2" to the rear axle width.
